"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally
better than your dreams.

"I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY."
Oliver said into the hug.

"I love you." He responded against
his lover's shoulder.

It wasn't said because of the fear, or the possible near-death experience that just occurred. It was because of the pure gratitude he had for the man. He saved his life with no hesitation. That's definitely not the only reason but he is definitely deeply and truly, in
love with him, and has been for awhile.

Oliver pulled back out of shock.
Not expecting those words to come out of Barry's mouth.
"I love y-you too." Oliver grinned as he sorta stuttered out his words.

The two shared a moment of silence, they just looked at each other with huge smiles on
their faces.
They kissed passionately, leaning their foreheads together after they were done.

Then, the couple silently walked down the sidewalk, hand-in-hand, already forgotten how they were almost squashed by a car.

"What the hell just happened?" said a random bystander who saw everything happen.

Oliver ended up calling up Laurel Lance, and him and Barry made their way over to
her new apartment.

"Ollie." Laurel smiled when she opened the door and saw the man.
"Laurel." He said, bringing her into a hug.
"I missed you." She sighed, her head leaning on his chest because he's taller than her.

"I wasn't gone that long." Oliver chuckled, letting go of her.
"It's been almost seven months, Oliver." Laurel said, gesturing for them to come inside.

"You must be Barry. I've heard a lot about you." Laurel grinned, giving Oliver a
knowing glance.
"That's me." Barry chuckled.

"Laurel? Who was—" Sara questioned while she walked into the room.
"Oh. Hey, Oliver. Hey, Barry." She said, waving when she noticed them.
"Hi." They said simultaneously.

"You know him?" Laurel asked her sister, gesturing towards Barry.
"Yeah, I went to Central City last month. I talked to them at Big Belly Burger." Sara shrugged.

"We saw Eloise today." Oliver said,
looking over at Sara.
"Do you know if she's mad at me?" She asked.
"Didn't seem like it." He shook his head.

"Thank God." Sara sighed.
"Why?" Oliver questioned.
"She hasn't called me back yet, and she's being kinda upset with me these past few days." She said, sitting down on the arm of the couch.

"She did seem pretty busy today. I'm sure everything's fine." Barry spoke up.
"Thanks." Sara smiled.

"So what are you guys in town for?"

Oliver glanced over at Barry and smiled. "Barry met my parents."

"Really? How'd that go?" Laurel questioned.
"It was great." Oliver responded.

"That's—"
"Surprising?" Oliver cut in.

"I was going to say unusual, but yeah, that works too." Laurel shrugged.
