"Because daddy said so. Now please get some sleep kiddo." Joel had been fighting his daughter for almost an hour. She didn't want to go to sleep because that meant she'd miss her father's show. "But daddy." "No buts go to sleep." He watched as his daughter closed her eyes and he left the backstage area to play his show. His daughter, however, wasn't sleeping. She was making a plan to she her dad play. The show went well until the song 'Is This Love?' Joel saw his daughter standing by his leg. "What are you doing up?" "I couldn't sleep. Daddy can you rock me to sleep?" Joel picked his daughter up. "Daddy has to play the guitar baby." "Pwease daddy." "Hold on." Joel walked over to Reb. "Think you can handle the guitar parts?" "Of course bro." Reb chuckled at his friend. All the guys in the band know how important Joel's daughter is to him so they help when they can. Joel held his daughter in his arms and tried rocking her to sleep. She fussed and was getting cranky. "Hey guys can you play the lullaby song. Whitesnake ain't doing it for her." Joel tugged on his hair as the slow melody made him tired as well. He rocked his daughter back and forth until her eyes fluttered closed. Joel carried her back to the couch were she had been sleeping. "Goodnight little one." Joel kissed her forehead and went to finish his job. His band mates knew how hard it was for their friend to be a single father and they swore to be the best uncles any kid could want. The guys saved Joel when he needed it and he saved them.
