David rushed to the hospital. All he was told was that his daughter, Oakley had gone into labor. He rushed in and the receptionist smirked. "Name?" "Oakley Coverdale." "She's in the maternity ward. Who are you?" "I'm her father, David Coverdale." "I'm sorry sir but I cannot let you in. Only the mother and baby's father can be in the delivery room." "The baby's father is not involved in the child's life. Please. My daughter is in there alone and scared. I'm begging you. Please let me in there." The receptionist bit her lip. "Go ahead. Go in." David ran to the elevator and pushed the fourth floor button. He was practically going crazy. The thought of his babygirl being in pain was killing him. He walked into the room and took his daughter's hand. "I'm right here Okie. You just squeeze my hand and do what the doctor says." "God, I'm going to kill Danny!" Oakley screamed. "Just think of your breathing and the beautiful baby boy you are bringing into this world." "Daddy, I can't do this. I can't." "Yes you can. You are strong my girl. You can deliver this baby and you'll be the happiest person in this room." With one final push the baby flew into the world. "You did it baby. You did it." "What's his name?" The nurse asked. "Ayden Knox Coverdale." "We'll take him to get cleaned up and then we'll be right back with him." "Okay." When the baby was brought back, David wasn't going to let the kid go. He held him and sang to him as well. "Dad? Can I hold my son?" "I guess." He handed his grandson to his daughter and watched them interact. 'She'll be a good mom.'
