The car ride was hella awkward.
For me.
I sat at the back and they kept talking about their lives in front. Sometimes Yoongi is giving me a weird glance through the rearview mirror.
Every time my eyes met his, I would instantly avoid it.
Did he tell Jimin about it?
I didn't drop any name that night right? He couldn't possibly tell that story to his friends because he promised me that it's just a simple stranger to stranger talk and all of it will stay as a secret to ourselves, didn't he?
I did my best to never turn my head to them for the rest of the car ride and just stare at the window for the time being.
Large structures of companies, hotels, condo units, and more fill the city. It's Sunday but most of the people here are busy doing their own business.
Later on, my pupils dilated when we stopped in front of a mansion. The backyard is filled with beautiful landscapes, there's a man-made fountain in the middle but no one seems to be living in the house.
The moment I heard the door lock clicked open I made my way out and stand on the pavement near the gate of the house.
"By the way, Elise this is Yoongi, Yoongi this is Elise." I secretly cursed at Jimin, but when I look at him he's just smiling like he doesn't know that we already knew each other's faces and I think that's a good sign.
Yoongi forced a smile and reach his hand for me. I quickly shake his before he can even start blabbering about that night.
"Nice to finally meet you, Elise." He commented and I smile at him as I nod. "Anyways, I'll leave you two here. I'm going to buy lunch." Yoongi winked at Jimin and he gives me another wicked smile before getting back inside his car.
The keys dangling on Jimin's hand were used to unlock the gate. The pathway to the front door is long and we still have to walk to get inside.
"Is this Yoongi's house?" I ask.
"No, it's my father's. Yoongi is just doing some sightseeing stuff here in Sacramento. He doesn't live here. For now, he's staying at this house. We'll leave with him tomorrow." He tells me and I nod at every information. "Now, do you still have questions?" He scoffs and I roll my eyes at him.
Yeah, I do. Did Yoongi tell you some random story about a crazy girl crying over someone that is not even her boyfriend or best friend or friend? Because that was me.
Once we reach the door, Jimin casually opens it and I couldn't believe how glamorous the inside of this house is.
A red carpet that will greet you once you step inside, a huge chandelier that is hanging from their ceiling, and a cute dog jumping at me the moment it heard that there are people.
"What's the dog's name?" I ask Jimin as I tickle the dog on its chin.
"Holly." Jimin deadpanned as if he doesn't want the dog here.
How can he be so mean to his own dog and something this cute? "I'm going to my room. Tell me when Yoongi arrives with our food."
Why is he being like this again? Yesterday he was happier than a pig in shit when we're filming some videos for our project and now he's making me feel that we shouldn't have come here.
If interviewing his own father is out of his will, then he could've told me instead of treating me like this.
"Just choose wherever room you like if you want to rest." He instructs and I watch him climb upstairs and went back on petting the dog when he's finally out of my sight.
