"I knew it! They were trying to get rid of hybrids! Those nasty little-" Namjoon clapped his hand over Hoseok's mouth while the vampire continued spouting curses.
Taehyung was laying down on Jungkook's bed, staring up at the cieling with his hands behind his head. As much as this whole scene was amusing, he didn't really think it mattered much to him. He wasn't a hybrid, he was sure of that. But with the way Hoseok reacted to this and Jungkook's recent change in features, he guessed those two had a lot to do with this.
"Hoseok, would you stop reacting so violently? It's not like you're a hybrid." The room fell silent and Jimin turned to Hoseok, an eyebrow raised. "Right?" Jungkook cleared his throat while Hoseok looked away. The fairy didn't have any reason to be awkward but the thought of him being a hybrid was still looming over his head so this kind of included him too.
The way they reacted to the fact that their friend might be a hybrid, could possibly determine whether they stayed together or not.
"Actuallg guys, I didn't want to ever tell you because maybe I hoped that we would continue with our lives without having to be scared about hybrids getting killed or found out. But since that's not the case anymore, I-well I-yes, I'm a hybrid." It was silent for the longest time before Namjoon spoke.
"U-Um which two creatures...?" It was obvious he fairy was struggling to make the air less suffocating and even though Taehyung had no problem, Jimin and Jungkook were still tense. The fairy because of obvious reasons, and the shapeshifter because he'd never encountered a hybrid in his life.
"Vampire and mermaid." Jimin blinked and a grin found its way to his mouth against his better judgement.
"Oh in the name of every religion that's such a cute combination, Hoseok-hyung! So you can change into a mermaid too?" Jimin was leaning over Hoseok so much that the vampire looked like he was going to fall off the bed from how much he had leaned back.
"Well I've never tried. Dad said not to get used to it too much so I don't change randomly when I dive into water. You know, swimming lessons in school and stuff." Jimin's eyes were still blown wide in wonder and then suddenly he had changed to take on the shape of Hoseok.
The pop that followed because of Jimin's amateur shift startled Jungkook, causing his hair to go a darker brown than his original, taking the color of the person closes to him, that being Taehyung. Everyone turned to look at him and his cheeks colored, placing his hands over his head in a failed attempt to hide his hair.
"Looks like we've got more on our hands than we thought." Jungkook sighed, finally pulling his hands away and nodding.
"So what are we going to do? The Principle might already be readying a team to come and check everyone to make sure they're all 'pure'." Jimin looked at each of them, though he still didn't like Taehyung and when his eyes landed on said witch, he glared which Taehyung returned with no problem.
"We have to try and warn anyone we suspect or know is a hybrid. Hoseok-hyung since you're a hybrid, do you know where every other hybrid is?" Hoseok bit his lip and nodded.
"We hybrids have like a group in the school, we try and protect each other and when we can't, it just makes us hate the Ten more and try to find every way to bring them and their cruel system for hybrids down."
Namjoon nodded and then smiled.
"Looks like we know where to start."
