They were walking down the hallway, he and Namjoon looking forward to their gym class that was after their Old Languages class because they'd be having it with the others.

Namjoon laughed at something Jungkook said and he doubled over, tripping over his own foot and falling on someone.

"Woah, I'm so—" His words got stuck in his throat at the sight of the man in front of him. "—rry...."

Jungkook also stopped laughing and he paled under the Principle's gaze. He felt as if the man knew everything they'd been doing the past two months, starting at when he and Taehyung snuck into his office. But that was impossible because they were still standing there, alive and breathing. He doubted the Principle would allow anyone to live if they knew of his plans.

The man smiled, if Jungkook didn't know better, he would've said it was genuine and a very kind smile. But he did know better and it looked nothing more than a grimace to him.

"It's okay, just be careful next time." He walked away after that, Namjoon and Jungkook staring after him, eyes narrowed and lips pursed. They didn't like him, that much was obvious, though the hatred Namjoon had for him couldn't be measured.

This man and the Ten were responsible for Hoseok and his parents hiding and acting as if they weren't one of the most beautiful families Namjoon had ever seen in his life.

"Do you think he knows?" Jungkook whispered, suddenly feeling like even the walls could hear and tell on them to the Principle.

"I don't think so. We've been very careful and everything we've done till now has been mostly at night. They have a hybrid meeting every month Jungkook. Don't you think if he knew he would've attacked them during one of these meetings?" Jungkook bit his lips and nodded. What Namjoon said made sense, but he still felt his stomach turn uncomfortably. He hoped in the name of the Elders that Namjoon was right.

At these times, he wished he never came to the school. He wished he stayed with his parents.

His parents.

Jungkook hadn't contacted or even sent them a letter in months, so caught up in everything that he forgot the fact that he was a hybrid because one of his parents were hybrids. He was the product of a hybrid couple just like Hoseok, except his parents might've had the fairy gene more than the shapeshifter gene. He wondered if they knew and if they did, would they have told him one day? He wasn't sure.

He was too scared to send a letter because they gave it to the staff so they send it, which means that they probably looked through them to see if any of them said anything suspicious to their parents. And he wasn't strong enough to place a concealment spell. He also didn't think his parents knew any kind of secret way to talk, so until he got back home, he had no hope of talking to them about his newfound powers.

Until now, the only thing that changed color or shape was his hair. And it was only when he was going through very deep emotions or was suddenly startled. His eyes have stopped changing color, staying in between a blue and brown color and won't go back. He didn't care because nobody besides his friends noticed it, so he wasn't in any danger. Though he had to find a way to control his hair and fast, anything could happen at anytime and he would be exposed and in danger.

"Jungkook, stop frowning. You're going to get wrinkles already." Jungkook blinked when Jimin pushed his finger in his face, causing him to cross eyed. The shapeshifter had History, the class in front of them and so he saw them just before they went in.

Namjoon grinned while Jungkook rolled his eyes, pushing Jimin's hand away but smiled anyway. His worries gone as his friends distracted.

And then he knew, anything that happened, they could go through it.
