Weiss's POV

"It is easy to question the life of a huntsman, especially in a time of peace," Ozpin spoke. "Even more so when someone is taken from us much sooner than expected. In his final moments, (Y/N) (L/N) showed the true spirit of a huntsman; putting the safety of others before his own.
He...was a...."

Ozpin's words droned on but left my attention. I didn't cry, standing there in my black lace dress. (Y/N) wouldn't want me to, so I held back my tears no matter how difficult it was. Blake cried, but silently. Yang sobbed uncontrollably, but the reaction that affected everyone the most was
Ruby's. Ever since that day, Ruby was quiet. She hadn't spoken a word, she only ate because
Yang forced her to, and she slept during classes.

It was a small funeral, consisting of my team, teams JNPR and CFVY, as well as (Y/N)'s parents
and some of the Beacon staff.

Throughout the funeral, I had kept to myself and stared at his casket. It hurt so much, I had
found the love of my life and he was gone.

When Ozpin finished his speech, he laid down a single rose on top of the casket. Others had left
theirs, most a dark pink or red, and when it was our turn, we gave him the ones that would keep
us with him forever.

Blake had found a black one at a shop we went to together ahead of time, and Yang a yellow
one. I myself had easily found a white one, and Ruby simply mimicked me at the florist.
The rest of us watched solemnly as Ruby moved of her own volition for the first time in a while,
and placed a deep, and dark red rose unlike any I had ever seen.

As the casket lowered, Ruby stepped forward, tears trailing down her pale face. I put two and
two together, and before I knew it, I ran forward, screaming at Ruby to stop, as she pulled out a
knife I barely knocked it out of her hands before she could pierce her chest. She fell to her
knees and I pulled her away from the grave, that's when I noticed the blood. It was all over her
arms, her hands, and the knife. I rolled up her sleeves as Blake and Yang came to help,
revealing multiple deep cuts on her arms.

"What did you do?!?!" I asked as the three of us tried to stop the bleeding.
Her response resonated in my bones.

"(Y/N)...(Y/N)...(Y/N)..."

She tried moving towards the grave, but we stopped her. She grew paler by the second
It wasn't long until the paramedics arrived, patching up her arms and whisking her away to the nearest hospital.
