I slipped on a pair of shorts and threw a grey hoodie over my head.
Food! Don't forget food! My subconscious warned.
"Urgh!" I groaned and stumbled out of my room, trying to get my second converse on while hurrying to the kitchen.
No time for a proper breakfast so I went rummaging through the cupboards and grabbed the first thing that was in a package and that didn't need cooking. On my way out I caught my backpack and closed the apartment. I reached for my phone in my back pocket but it was empty.
"Argh!!" I shouted while unlocking the door.
I went straight to my room, hoping to see my phone waiting for me on my nightstand but it wasn't. I shaked my covers and checked the kitchen but finally found it in the bathroom by the sink.
"...Raise some hell before we ghost
Break the rules with broken nose
You know us - we're soldiers..."
I smiled before racing back outside and into the busy city.
It was the first Monday of the holidays and tonight was our big game against LKHS, our rival school, so the girls and I were going to spend the day together. We had all agreed to meet up at Jenny's at 10am... It is 11!!
Mum had left early for work and I had kept resetting my alarm clock, saying to myself that I'll have more than enough time to get ready until I actually had no time at all.

"I know I'm late! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I helled as I arrived at Jenny's.
The girls were in the big garden, sitting in a circle on the green grass with a pizza carton in the middle. Jenny lives just out of town so it took me a good hour to get here which meant it was already lunch time.
I slumped myself next to Liv and hugged my best friend.
"I'm really sorry Liv" I apologised.
"Don't worry about it, we all know you're not a morning person" she laughed.
I smiled at/to her before grabbing a piece of pizza.
"So, what's the plane for tonight?" I asked.
"We need to be there at least at 7pm 'cause the game starts at 8pm" said
"Well I suggest we get ready here" said Liv. "We might have trouble finding parking though so we'll have to leave early."
We finished eating before starting to stretch. I was struggling with my bow and arrow when a notification came up on my phone. I picked it up and went on Instagram. My sister had just posted a new photo were she was posing in a pair of shorts and a beautiful crop top. Behind her where rocky mountains, cactais and deep red earth.
"Looks great sis' 😍" I commented.
She replied almost instantly.
"Thx! Wish you were here❤"
I liked before turning off my phone. I was sitting in middle splits, that was clearly not stretching anything, and layed my uperbody down on the warm grass.
Liv sat in front of me, mirroring my exact same position, her head resting on her folded arms.

"30 minutes left!" shouted our captain.
"Stop stressing us!" Jenny shouted back.
Our owl team had taken over her bedroom and the bathroom. I was sitting on the floor in front of a full-length mirror, curling my deep brown hair that was in a half-up ponytail. I attached my bow and looked through my bag for my makeup palette.
"Nobody nudge me!" I warned, my eyeliner in one hand.
Once my makeup was down I stood up and cleaned the dust of my skirt. I stuffed my clothes into my bag with all my others and left it in a corner with my shoes.
"Can you help me?"
Lexie appeared in front of me, two bows in her hands.
"Sure, what would you like?"
She let out a sigh of relief and plopped herself on the bed. I climbed up behind her and balanced myself on my knees, trying not to fall on top of her.
"Buns please."
I got to work, parting her galaxy hair and plating the top before making two buns and pinning a bow on each one.
Liv walked in at that moment.
"We're leaving in five minutes."
We all scrambled to collect our things before climbing up in one of the two cars. I got into Jenny's mother's old lexus. There was only Liv, Jenny and I while the rest of the girls were squising into the other car. The reason: Jenny's hot brother was the driver.
"Ready?" her mother asked, getting into the car. "Then lets roll!" she said, starting the engine.
