Chapter 19

Lexa and I get in her Jeep and Raven, Octavia, and Luna get in the back. The three in the back are wearing shorts and bikini tops. Lexa has ripped shorts on, a black bikini top, and an open flannel with sunglasses and hair down. She was absolutely stunning.

Lexa blast pop music and the three in the back are singing at the top of their lungs. The rest of our friends were in Bellamy's truck some in the car and some in the bed of the truck.

We get to the beach and everyone gets out and grabs their beach bags. We find a good spot on the beach and Lincoln sets up a speaker.

"Oh shoot I forgot my towel in the car." I say looking around at ours area on the beach.

"I'll get it." Lexa said and she ran off before I could say anything.

"You have her wrapped around your finger Clarke." Jasper says.

"Forget finger she has her wrapped around her arm." Raven said taking a frisbee out.

Lexa comes running back and hand me the towel. She is smirking down at me. God she is so cute.

Everyone started to say awwwww and Lexa ran up to Raven and grabbed the frisbee and ran off. Lincoln, Raven, Luna, Octavia, Bellamy, Murphy, Gustus, and Indra chase after her leaving me with Mya, Harper, Echo, Jasper,and Monty with me.

Jasper and Monty start a sandcastle competition. Mya and Harper are tanning and talking. Echo pulled out a book and sat down in her towel. She pats the sand and tells me to come sit with her.

I sit down and she starts conversation, "So you and Lexa huh?"

"W-what. No." I answer blushing.

"Lexa is really good with feelings. Like never shows them. But for you. She is an open book." I look at our friends that are playing ultimate frisbee. Lexa scored a point for her team. She has taken off her flannel and now is just in shorts and her black bikini top. The rest of the girls are just in their bikinis and the boys are in their swimming shorts.

Lexa is sweaty but gorgeous. Once they are done playing they come over to us girls and get ready to go in the water. Lexa takes off her shorts and sunglasses then looks at me. "Oh god Clarke. You need to put on sunscreen! It's Florida not Denver! You get sun here!" She said while putting spray sunscreen on my back. "Better." She said After she was finished spraying my body.

"My turn." I say taking the bottle from her.

"Oh no Clarke I'm good. I'm Italian!" She gets real close and smirks, "We don't burn. We tan like gods." She said then winks and walks way. I think I peed a little. I'm just standing there blushing. Everyone just laughs as Lexa heads into the water.

"Well come on princess let's go in the water." Bellamy says and picks me up bridal style. It's not as comfortable as when Lexa holds me like that.

Everyone follows into the water as Bellamy throws me in. I swim up to the surface and get splashed in the face with water. I wipe my eyes and see Lexa. She is at her waist in water I'm about half way up my stomach.

"Come on everyone is going deeper." She said walking deeper into the ocean.

As we are walking I was having trouble touching the ground. Lexa looks back and laughs then grabs my waist and brings me close to her. I wrap my legs around her waist and put my arms around her neck. She catches up to our friends. Bellamy looks angry. Like someone just stole something from him.

"Ok so is water wet?" Luna says creating an argument. Even I join in.

"Of course water is wet! You get into the ocean and it's wet!" Mya said.

Lexa breaks into the fight. "Okay. Look at this a different more scientific way to break it down. Water consists of H2O, which is Hydrogen and Oxygen. Is Hydrogen wet? No. Is Oxygen wet? No. Therefore, water is not wet. Plus, when you get into an ocean the water is making you wet as a verb not a noun. So ya. Water isn't wet." Lexa finishes and everyone stares at her blankly.

"When did you become a nerd." Lincoln says and everyone laughs.

After a couple more minutes of holding onto Lexa as a floating device we all go on shore and dry up getting ready to make a bond fire and cook hot dogs.

After we all eat we are sitting together under the stars by the fire. Lexa and I are sitting next to each other. I get a little tired and put my head on Lexa's shoulder.

Next thing you know we see blue and red light. We all turn to see a cop walking up to us.

"You kids know its illegal to build a fire on this beach. I am going to have to take you in for this. Were you doing any drugs or underage drinking?" The cop said obviously a girls voice.

Lexa stands up and said "No ma'am, we are good kids we didn't know that you weren't allowed to build a fire on the beach."

"Lexa?" The cop answer.

Now I am standing up to see who it is.

"Kasey?" Lexa replies. Everyone is silent.

"Come on! What will Anya think of you going against the law! And lying to a cop! I know that you know that this is illegal!" The cop said stepping closer to Lexa.

"No no! You can't tell Anya!"

"Of course I'm telling Anya!"

"No you own me Kasey! Remember! You own me big time and I kept it in my back pocket! You are not going to tell Anya and we won't have to pay a fine!" Lexa states with a strict voice.

The cop is silent for a couple of seconds. "Fine. Put out the fire and go home all of you! Don't do this again it might not be me who catches you." The cop points her finger at Lexa then walks away.

What. Just. Happened.
