Clarke's POV

I drop the clipboard in shock. This made Lexa jump out of the bed and walk over to me. She stops mid way because she is in pain. I help her back in bed.

"What happened?!" She asked scared. "Am... I Okay..."

"Huh- Oh! Yes Lexa you're okay! You will be able to leave tomorrow." I say smiling at her and getting in the bed with her. I am on the uninjured side of her. She buries her head in my neck. Luna leaves the room.

"Why didn't you run Lexa?" I whispered.

"If he killed them I wouldn't be able to live with myself. And then if he hurt you or... killed you... I don't think I could live on." Lexa says with her lips brushing against my neck because she was so close to me. She had a grip of my t-shirt. It like if she lets go then I'm going to leave. Her knuckles are turning white from holding my shirt so tight.

"Lexa... don't hurt your hand. You saved everyone. Aden is in bed right now sleeping. He wants to see you later." I say putting my hand on her hand and she relaxes her grip a little bit but is still holding on for dear life.

Someone enters the room. My mom. She walks over and stops mid way when she sees me. Lexa is falling asleep on me.

"Mom..." Lexa wakes at my voice.

"Clarke... I... how are you?" I got out of bed even though Lexa was a little sad. I walk up to my mother. I pause for a second and hug her. She hugs me back the second we touched. After a minute Lexa clears her throat.

"I'm sorry... am I missing something?" Lexa asks getting comfortable on the bed. As she says that Luna comes in the room with coffee. When she sees my mom she puts herself in between me and my mom.

"Ms. Griffin just because Lexa is hurt right now doesn't mean I can't take you down twice as fast." Luna says.

"I wouldn't say twice as fast." Lexa says scratching her head. She is obviously still drugged up after surgery cause she looks at her hand and gets interested in her rings. Then she gets really confused. "Wow I like silver."

I laugh and remove Luna from between me and my mother. "She saved Lexa." I say looking back at my lover and her twin.

Luna's jaw dropped. Lexa looks confused looking down at her hands still. "I was dead?" Her eyes widen. "LUNA IM A VAMPIRE!" Luna snorted and Lexa starts feeling her teeth. I laugh at her.

"I'll tell Lexa when she can understand." I say laughing.

"Clarke can we take a walk." Abby asks.

"Um. Yes. Sure." I say grabbing my coffee and walking out with her.

It is quiet until we reach outside. We walk slowly outside of the hospital.

"So... how have you been Clarke?" She asks quietly.

"It's been... interesting...." I say and I chuckle a little. "Lexa has kept me out of the family drama but I don't think she is keeping me out of this one."

"What do you mean?" My mother asks me with the look of concern.

"Nothing. Her crazy uncle." I say nervously chuckling. My mom nods.

"So you're a senior this year. Wow. I mean you've grown to be such a bright young woman." My mother says smiling at me.

"Thank you." I say quietly. We are silent for a minute but I interrupt. "Why did you save Lexa?"

"Clarke I took an oath... White, black, gay, straight. I save them. She was just a normal client. You have to put your thoughts aside and just... help." My mother says.

"Ya but why did you really do it?" I ask again.

"I told yo-"

"No you told me what you want to believe but you didn't tell me the truth. Why did you really do it?" I say cutting her off. We stopped walk and were facing each other.

"She means the world to you Clarke. I had to save her." She says with a pleading look in her eyes. "Clarke as your legal guardian you are coming home with me." My jaw drops at the sudden sentence.

"I-"

"No Clarke. I'm tired of not knowing if you are safe or if you are at gun point! You are coming home! I don't care if you are dating that girl! I'll deal with it but you'll live at home. If you don't take this offer right now we are moving states. I got another job offer and I have one more day to take it. You are moving in tomorrow. You hear me?" I am about to argue but I just nod.

"Good. Now we better get inside."

The rest of the way inside was quiet.

I walk into the room and Raven and Octavia were in there. Luna and Raven were cuddling in a chair and Octavia was sitting on the window sill.

"Hey I know you! You're hot..." Lexa says looking at me and grinning like a goof ball.

"You're not so bad yourself Woods." I say smiling at her. I climb in the bed and she cuddles into me.

"Mmmm... you're warm." She says slowly as she goes to sleep.

"Are you okay Clarke?" Octavia says stating the obvious.

"No... my mom is making me move back in with her." I say blankly. "And there is nothing I can do to stop it."

"I-" Raven try's to say but we all go silent.

"When?" Luna ask after a few minutes.

"Tomorrow." I say and my mother walks in the room. Lexa cuddles on my chest still asleep.

"Okay. So Lexa is good to go tomorrow morning, just makes sure she cleans that bandage often and keep her from straining her muscles for a little bit. Clarke are you ready to go?" Abby says finishing her doctor monologue. "My shift is over."

"You said I was moving tomorrow. I can't leave Lexa right now." I say with control in my voice. Abby nods and walks out of the room.

I hate that woman.
