Chapter 74

Clarke's POV

Lexa was at marching band practice after school and I was curled up in my bed with my new hoodie on doing homework. My mother walks in.

"Clarke I'm sorry! I- I was busy and I got sidetracked. The date slipped my mind and I didn't remember." My mom says trying to mend whatever mother daughter relationship she thought we had.

I just continued doing my homework.

"Where did you get that hoodie?" She asks trying to start conversation.

I look up at her. "My girlfriend gave it to me after she arranged a surprise party." I say smiling at my sweet girl.

"We'll get up and show me." My mom says with a half fake smile and a half real smile. I stand up and turn to show her the back the I turn and show her the infinity on the front. "What does the infinity and the circles on the back mean?"

"Those are her tattoos that I love. They are on her back." I say and get back into bed.

"You have seen her shirtless?" My mother asks in less a disappointment or discussed but more of an excited matter. I'm a little weirded out by this.

"Yes..." I say slowly. "I mean I lived with her for pretty much a year and we have gone to beach days." I say smiling at our good times together. "Also Lexa isn't much of a shirt person." I smile at my homework and continue writing.

"Okay Clarke... I'm just sorry... for everything." She says and walks out. I thought she was being honest with me and really did want to hear about my relationship with Lexa but I knew I was wrong when I heard her sigh on the other side of my door.

My phone starts ringing.

It's the group chat. They wanna ft.

I accept and I see Ravens sweaty face while she lifts what looks like some color guard equipment.

"Hey mama Reyes." I say getting Ravens attention.

"Hey Clarke!" She says and I hear someone else say my name behind her. It's Luna. Luna grabs the phone and walks away with me.

"Heyyyy Clarke!" Luna says smiling at me. She puts the phone on her snare drum that is currently strapped to her body. She is also sweaty.

"Hey Lun..."

"So have you done your homework? Been a good girl?" Luna asks and before I could answer someone picks up the phone. "Hey I was talking to her!" I laugh.

Jasper appears on the screen. "Hey Clarke!" Mya takes he phone from him

"Clarke I have these shoes that I am thinking about getting bu-" Mya starts but Octavia cuts her off.

"No one cares!" She takes the phone and walks off. "Clarke if I came to your house would you give me cuddles?" O asks but Lincoln cuts me off.

"I'll give you cuddles baby..." Lincoln says and leans down and kisses O while I'm watching.

"I'll save you clarke!" I hear Murphy say as he swoops up the phone. "Hey Clarke I'll bring you to Lexa." He says and I smile.

"Thanks Murphy." I say smiling into the camera.

"Ya ya whatever. Lexa! Yo Lexa!" Murphy calls out.

"What's up Murphy!" I hear Lexa call from far far away.

"You're girlfriend is on the phone." He calls. He looks back at me. "She is running over." I laugh.

Lexa takes the phone. "Thanks Murphy" Lexa says and she is also sweaty.
