Tea Leaves (Levi x reader)

Chapter 10- Experiment

"Because yesterday's experiment failed completely, we are going to be trying something else."Hanji stopped talking to see if the two other people at the table were listening.

Y/N was sat in the mess hall of the old HQ with Levi and Hanji discussing their plans for another experiment. After the earlier experiment, Hanji hypothesized that Eren needed a goal to transform and wanted to test her theory today, they had planned it anyways.

"We are going to blindfold Eren and take him somewhere inside the walls that looks like titan territory. Y/N, you are going to be set up in a place that may seem dangerous and we will tell Eren that your gear has malfunctioned and you need to be saved before titans show up." Hanji explained excitedly, hoping that Y/N would agree to her idea and to Levi's surprise, Y/N agreed to do it.

"Y/N, are you serious? What if he loses control and kills you?" Levi half yelled at the girl sitting next to him. "What if you die today? What do you think that will do to your brother and friends?"

"Levi, I'll be fine. Trust me," Y/N answered back before standing up and walking to the kitchen. "Who wants a cup of tea?" She asked Levi and Hanji who both replied with a 'me please.'

Y/N was sat on the carriage with Eren and the soilders of squad Levi, the captain was riding ahead to check the area that they were going to use. Eren had fallen asleep on Y/N's lap, still tired from yesterday's experiment, so he didn't realise that they weren't actually going outside the walls.

When they arrived at the destination soilders hid in the trees, out of Eren's sight. Hanji had changed the plan a bit and her and Y/N were standing on a branch on one of the taller trees.

Levi rode up to Eren and told him to wake up, letting him know that Y/N was in trouble, Eren immediately sat up and ran to the opening of the forest, where he saw his sister fall off of the branch she was standing on.

Eren didn't hesitate and bit into his hand, light engulfed his body as he transformed. Y/N knew she fell into Eren's plam but she was too shocked to open her eyes, even though she knew she was safe. When she finally opened her eyes she gasped, she instantly recognised the looking down at Y/N was her brother. He was the titan that saved her in Trost.

"I can't believe my hypothesis was correct!" Hanji sung as they rode back to the old castle. "Eren, I'm so happy that I got to see your titan properly!"

"Hey Eren?" Y/N asked, waiting for her brother to face her, "do you remember anything from Trost?"

Eren looked at Y/N and shook his head, "the only thing I remember is carrying the boulder and plugging the gate but my memory of that is still hazy."

"Oh," was all Y/N said before she was cut off by Levi.

"You okay Y/N? You seem upset about something," Levi questioned the H/C haired girl.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just thinking about something."

"Four eyes. You probably scared the crap out of Y/N by pushing her off of the branch, you should at least apologise," Levi said, trying to change the subject.

"Yeah, you're right Levi. I'm sorry Y/N, I should have talked you through it better," Hanji apologised.

"It's okay Hanji," Y/N said with a smile, "anything for science, am I right?" Y/N said before the soilders went quiet. Enjoying the silent ride back.

Everyone arrived at the castle and Y/N went to her room to try to shake off her thoughts from the day. Y/N grabbed her sketchbook but instead of drawing, she looked at her previous drawings of Eren in her book. She was looking at the picture she drew for his birthday when she heard a knock on her door.

"Hey Y/N, I wanted to know if I could come in for a minute?" It was Eren. Y/N walked to the door and smiled at her brother before letting him in.

"You know the question I asked you earlier, the one about your memories from Trost?" Y/N asked.

"Yeah, why did you ask me?"

"Because I wanted to know if you remembe- nevermind, I think it would be easier to show you the drawings of the thing that saved my life in Trost," Y/N said as as she grabbed her sketchbook and flipped it open. Eren's eyes widened, it was a sketch of him. That's why Y/N's sketchbook was filled with drawings of him in titan form.

"I saved your life?" Eren muttered.

"Yeah, I dropped all of my supplies and I was surrounded by titans, I would have been a goner if it weren't for you," Y/N smiled as she looked at her brother, his face was frozen with shock. "Oi, Eren. Remember what mum used to say? If you make weird faces and the wind changes, it will stay like that forever,"Y/N laughed at Eren when he quickly changed his expression.

"Hey Y/N, could you tell me a bit about what life was like for you, mum and dad before I came along?" Eren smiled weakly, saddened at the thought of his parents.

Y/N noticed the sad glint in his eyes and decided to tell him what she could remember.

"I'm sorry that I can't remember much, the last thing I remember before you were born was I became really sick and dad had to nurse me back to health, I needed to drink hot drinks otherwise my throat would swell up so mum went out and bought some expensive tea and I instantly fell in love with it. That was the start of my tea addiction and that's how I came up with my dream job," Y/N explained to Eren, who was enjoying sitting down and listening to the stories his sister shared.

Y/N was about to get up to make them some tea when she heard another knock on her door, she went to open it and was greeted with Levi's (beautiful) face.

"Are you guys ready for dinner?" He asked as the Jaeger siblings nodded in unison, Levi seemed a little freaked out by how almost everything they did was in sync but brushed it off. "Also Y/N, are you able to make us some tea?"

Woot woot another chapter completed. I'm really excited for the next couple of chapters because there will be a really nice scene with you and Levi... I'm not telling you when though!
