chapter 14- Greetings

"Hey Y/N... Y/N... wake up, the experiment was a success!"

Y/N shot up at Hanji's words, terrified of what she had said.

"Shit," was all Y/N could say before Hanji cut her off.

"I'm just kidding, you weren't waking up at anything else I was saying so I tried that. Sadly you don't have the power to turn into a titan at all. Your hands haven't healed and you would have most likely transformed when you were getting ready to sleep." Hanji looked of into the distance, making the H/C haired female wonder what she was looking at.

"Anyways... The 104th cadet corps fully graduated last night. They will be arriving later today so I would get ready if I were you." Hanji ran off somewhere after that, leaving Y/N to care for herself. Y/N sighed and massaged her aching hand before setting off to get ready to meet the 104th cadets.

Y/N noticed Eren with a group of people around his age when she was walking back to the headquarters, 'they must be the 104th that he was talking about' she thought just as she was about to leave until she heard her brother arguing with someone.

"Hey! Cut it out Eren and whatever your name is," Y/N said as she walked over to where the scene was unfolding.

"My name is Jean," the guy Eren was arguing stated.

"Gesundheit."

"Hey Eren, why don't you introduce your girlfriend to us," Jean chirped up, earning a glare from both of the Jaeger siblings.

"Why don't you stick your horse face in someone else's business," Eren retorted.

Before Y/N could process what happened, Jean and Eren were thrown to the ground, Mikasa standing above them.

"Jean," Mikasa said calmly, "Y/N is Eren's sister. Eren, don't get so worked up over stupid arguments. Y/N," Mikasa looked at the girl before apologising for both the boys behaviour.

"It's okay, I understand why everyone's a but tense, just try not to hurt each other over the smallest things," Y/N looked at the rest of the group and smiled, she was happy that Eren was finally making friends, it meant she didn't have to worry about him as much.

Time skip because I'm actually too lazy to write anything meaningful rn.

After a month of training, preparing, and getting a formation stuck in everyone's head, the 57th scouting expedition was finally upon them. Y/N was nervous, everyone else around her had trained for much longer than her and being situated in the Levi squad made her feel like she would drag everyone down with her.

Levi noticed Y/N's nervous expression and meant over to her. "Y/N, you'll be okay, if anything happens we are all here to protect you," he stated, calming Y/N down a little.

"I'm just nervous that something will happen to all of you because of me," Y/N explained.

Levi grabbed her face and tuned it to face his, forcing her E/C eyes to stare into his grey ones. "Can I remind you that you nearly beat me in that 3DMG race and that Erwin said you could go on this expedition because of your great scores, besides, you have the members of my squad as well as myself and your brother, we wouldn't want anything to happen to you so we are going to look after you."

Y/N looked at the rest of his squad before massaging the bite scar on her hand as a reminder that everyone was there for each other.

Flashback time baby.
Y/N was reading the formation notes in her room when she heard a knock on her door, "come in," she yelled, not moving from her desk.

"Hey Y/N," it was Petra. Y/N looked up from her notes and walked over to the door to invite her in.

"What can I help you with?" Y/N asked as Petra started to blush.

"Well... I've been thinking for quite a while about this, but after the expedition, do you think I should talk to Oluo about our future relationship?"

"You mean ask him out?" Y/N questioned .

"Yeah... I guess."

"Don't worry Petra, I'll make sure you get together faster than you can say good ol' doctor Jaeger's basement," Y/N reassured, earning a smile from the ginger.

Y/N looked behind her to see Petra talking to Oluo while waiting for the gates to open. Y/N felt a sudden rush of excitement, realising that she was about to get a taste of freedom.

"Open the gate!" She heard a soldier yell before Erwin started to order everyone to advance,

And for the first time in forever, Y/N smiled at the thought of returning home.

Wow. I'm so sorry that this was so late. I've just been really busy but guess what, I've finally bought some AOT cosplay yay!! Also, it's exactly a month until my sister school comes over for our exchange program!!! I'm so excited. I'm sorry that this chapter wasn't as long as the others, I just wanted to publish something before my busy holidays.
