Chapter 98

NeeRin hesitantly entered the room and closed the door behind her, leaving her and Jimin alone in the office. His back was facing her as she took some steps closer, inwardly preparing herself to hear some harsh words from him.

"Before you start yelling and accusing me. I swear i didn't tell him all this to put you in trouble. I know i have threatened you many times with the truth and all but I honestly just couldn't bare it anymore." She spoke first wanting to grab this chance that he was still silent, thinking that he probably wouldn't give her a chance to explain.

Jimin turned around and faced her, his gaze landing on her, making her immediately more nervous as well as making her talk a bit more in a quicker pace."I know you may not believe it but i have feelings too and all this was a burden for me too. And your father has always been so nice to me that i drown myself on guilt for so long. I just had to explain myself to him. I am sorry if it came suddenly to you. And-"

" Calm down. I didn't say anything yet."He cut her off, she immediately looking away, Jimin's eyes noticing her fingers that were holding tightly to her bag revealing a sign of her nervousness. He honestly was surprised of her behavior, a behavior that had been too long to see in her.

The nervous girl that starts speaking faster and louder when she is under pressure had appeared before him exactly as she was sleeping in his memory. A girl that for years now had gotten replaced by a lady that showed no weaknesses in her behavior and never looked away from anyone's eyes. Such a lady had left room for the girl he fell for to suddenly make her appearance before his eyes and he couldn't help but be surprised by it as well as understand that telling the whole truth to his father all alone was apparently not an easy task and it had ate a loan in her psychology.

"I am not mad. I just want to solve things between us once and for good. I think this is the right moment because i have the will and strength to do so." Jimin's words got her by surprise and she showed her in her face for a moment, before she composed herself and left the proper lady return to the rightful place before him.

" Don't worry. You were clear enough. I got the message. "She told him, her voice breaking towards the end, thing that made her cough to fix it, pretending that her throat had just went dry.

" I don't know if i was because i wasn't clear myself all this time but I know now. It took me so long but i am confident now. I am no longer trying to move on from you or to unlove you. I found myself not thinking about you at all even in my silent moments. "He told her looking at her eyes and she weakly smiled, before murmuring that she was happy for him. And she wasn't lying, it was just that she was sad for herself and that was what made her words look insincere.

" I know you may not like to hear all this but I have to tell you. Because you were someone i shared so many good moments with. My dreams, my hopes. And this is me sharing with you a happy moment of mine again. I fell in love again NeeRin. Finally. I did." Jimin's eyes showed her an expression that killed her inside. His eyes glassy, and his lips smiling, like a guy that had made the impossible possible and he couldn't believe it that he truly got to move on. That he truly lived to see this day that nothing of romantic love was remained inside him for her.

"Jimin, i am so sorry. Please forgive me." Was all she said as her tears appeared on her eyes, she being unable to hold them back anymore and he stayed watching her for a moment, before stepping closer to her and brushing her tears away.

"It's gonna be okay. If I could do it, you can too. Someone special will come one day into your life just like it came into mine and will make you realize things you never had before. Will make you love yourself more and he will love you enough for both of you whenever you don't. "She couldn't help but smile at him as he was treating her with so much care just like when he used to do and she couldn't believe she was living such a moment again.

" You don't hate me? "She asked him as that was what he thought all this time and that thought had pained her a lot because their love was important and no matter what she hold the times they shared dear to her heart.

" I tried. I guess I just can't undo feelings. "He cupped her cheek and she laughed lightly before throwing herself in his embrace and feeling his warmth that for so long she had dreamed to feel once more.

" Let's make a new start NeeRin. I don't want to hold on to the past anymore and neither should you. What do you say?" He lightly pulled her away to meet her face and she took a step back brushing off her tears well before answering.

"Your father said that he is going to divorce me. And.. Remember that i had asked you to run away with me? To just leave and start a new life together, far away, somewhere. I will ask you once more." Her words got Jimin by surprise as his father hadn't mentioned anything about a divorce but that wasn't the only thing that got him silent but the recalling of her then tempting proposal as well.

If he was the person he was that day and the circumstances were like at this moment he would probably accept and be happy to have returned to her as sometimes it just felt like no love could ever outshine her. But he was no longer the guy of that day. He was no longer the crazy in love with her guy that sacrificed his early youth to be with her. He was no longer the guy that loved her and was lustful over her. He was now someone else, someone that had understood what love is and how she wasn't that to him any longer.

"If I say no. Will you still leave?" He asked her and she nodded slightly.

"I wish you have a nice new start then. Don't hesitate to ever call me if you need something." A smile broke into her lips at the hearing of his response and she felt at ease inside, as if this time she could fully accept it that nothing was there anymore.

" She is a great girl you know. I feel way better knowing that it's her that you fell for. She is worth it." Her eyes got averted to the floor as she left those painful for her words escape her lips.

"You were worth it too for me. Or else why would I have done all the stupid stuff i did." She looked up to him as he said so, his eyes gentle on her.

"I will miss you"

"You can always stack me up whenever you can."

"Shut up, how can you joke about this?" They ended up laughing a bit, the atmosphere having become lighter and both now looking at each other with relief that they did talk and they did ended up making their relationship not end in bad terms.

"See you around then.. Jimin." She awkwardly approached him for a quick hug but he instead held her stable and locked their eyes.

"If you don't mind, i only had one way of saying goodbye to someone i loved so much in my mind." He told her, before leaning his head to the side, making her understand what he was talking about.

Her mind froze for a moment, not being able that she was going to feel his lips on hers once more even if it was the last and she closed her eyes giving him the pass to continue, as she understood well that he wasn't really doing this because he had thought of this as the proper goodbye for him, but he was doing it because he knew that this would be the proper Goodbye she was wishing to have.

Jimin once again had fulfilled her wish and done this small action to make her happy, even though it would be the last time he would be going to any extent to do whatever to make her happy. He kissed her gently and lovingly without any hint of desire or want whatsoever as he had no such feelings for her. He kissed her kindly and softly sending away a love that had play a big role in his life.

A life that it was now going back to happy moments as you were now part of it and you had a part in his heart. And those happy moments he so eagerly was waiting to live with you would have become true, if you wouldn't be watching them kissing by the small crack of the door which you had silently open out of curiosity, to check if you would be interrupting if you get in or not. And while seeing them kiss you didn't thought that you were only interrupting the conversation that they were supposed to be having but their relationship all together.

They were from the start meant to be together and apparently you had just found a path to enable that to happen and while on one hand you should be happy that you actually ended up truly helping Jimin become happy,on the other you had hurt yourself, enough for your breath to get caught up in your lungs and tears to roll down your cheeks, before quickly brushing them away while you run out of the mansion.
