ONE MONTH LATER
GRACIE'S POV

Finally, Tee and Johnny were on their way back from their trial foster placement. They'd been chosen by the Watson family, and they'd spent a day with them to see what it would be like. I hated the thought of them leaving, especially Tee, but I hoped for the best, because that's all I could do.

Carmen, Lily and I had been helping Tracy bake a cake for them coming home. It had been in the oven for a while when we all started licking the excess mixture from the bowl. Everyone was in high spirits, which was great. Mentally, I was getting so much better. I was down to wearing only a moon boot on my ankle, which was beyond amazing after my accident, and I was 27 days clean from self-harming, which felt even better. Finally, I was getting there.

The cake smelled absolutely delicious. Tracy got it out of the oven and placed it in the middle of the table, after "Welcome home Johnny and Tee" was written on it in red and green icing. Toby was sat at the table painting his figures with Seth, his new social worker, the social worker we all knew Tracy fancied. She'd literally wore the same top every time Seth had been around, because he said he liked it on his first day. We found it hilarious, but adorable at the same time. We stood behind the counter watching them flirt with each other for a while. I tried my best not to laugh, but it was hard when all they were doing was banging on about buying each other drinks!

"OOOOO" Carmen, Lily and I said in unison.

"What?" Tracy laughed.

"You're going on a date with Seth!" Carmen cooed.

"I am not!" Tracy replied. "We're just friends."

"Yeah, is that why you took an hour to get ready this morning?" Lily laughed.

"I like to look smart for work." Tracy said.

"Whatever you say!" I giggled. "But you're wearing the top that he likes, yet again?"

"So?" Tracy asked us.

"Soooo, Gus?" Lily said.

Gus flipped his pages in his notebook for a couple of seconds, before reading out an extract about Tracy and Seth.

"Tracy has worn the same top for Seth's last four visits." he stated. Tracy put her head in her hands at that point; I couldn't keep my laughter in any longer.

"Shush, you!" Tracy laughed. "I don't like Seth!"

"Yes you do." Gus said with a smile.

Tracy began to stutter and blush.

"Okay, I do like him, but I don't, you know, not like.."

The doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" Tracy said, jumping at the opportunity to leave the room. I looked at Carmen and Lily with a massive grin on my face.

"Wow." Gus said.

TRACY'S POV

I had to get away at that point. The girls knew I liked Seth, but it was really awkward talking to them about it. It was still early days, I hadn't known him that long. I ran to the door and welcomed Johnny and Tee back home.

"How was it?" I asked them as they walked through the door with big smiles on their faces.

"It was fantastic." Tee grinned.

"And they liked us!" Johnny continued.

I was so happy for them. All they have wanted since I've known them is to be fostered. Well, Johnny more than Tee. He never shut up about it. Ever.
