GRACIE'S POV

Basketball night.

I couldn't wait. However, anxiety got in the way, as usual.

"Don't worry, we'll keep an eye on you." Mike said.

"I'll hold your hand all night, and I'll not let you leave my sight, I promise." Tracy carried on.

"Okay. I'll go." I said.

"Trust me, it'll be such a fun night." Gina said. I nodded and left the room. I was looking forward to it, it just floated around the back of my head that everything was going to go wrong.

Everyone else was in the living room, talking about how excited they were.

"We can get burgers!" Liam said.

"And sweets!" Tee smiled.

"We can cheer and shout!" Toby said.

"And hopefully, they'll win." I said, joining in on the conversation.

"Oh guys, the thought of burgers is killing me. I'm starving!" Lily moaned.

"Let's go and find some food now then!" Frank suggested. We all sprinted into the kitchen and searched the cupboards for whatever food we could find.

"Woah, what's all this noise for?" we heard Gina shout. We tried our best to swallow the food we had in our mouths, but it didn't work at all.

"Why are you eating? We're going out soon!" she shouted.

"But we were hungry now!" Carmen said.

"Well, get all of this tidied up and get sorted for going out." Gina said before leaving the room shaking her head. We all burst out laughing at each other at that point. Laughing really is the best medicine.

Once we had tidied up, we all went to our rooms to get ready for the game. It was beginning to get really cold at night, so I put my big coat on, along with my hoodie and jeans. Tracy knocked on the door as I was about to leave.

"Are you ready to go?" she asked.

"Yep!" I said with a smile. Tracy took my hand and we headed out to the minibus.

"So far so good." I thought.

"Okay, guys. So, we're going to the new arena for the game, so please don't go ruining everything. We don't want to get banned from here as well as the shopping centre, do we?" Mike said.

"Of course not." Gina replied.

"Right then, let's go!" Mike said, driving off to the arena.

When we arrived, there were queues everywhere. Massive crowds of people trying to buy tickets and squeeze through the doors. Big crowds, I hate them. They make me feel all panicky and anxious. We weren't buying tickets as we'd already booked them, so we didn't have to stand in the queue, but we did have to get in the big crowd to get inside.

Everyone started getting out of the minibus, while I just kept looking out the window at the crowds.

"Are you coming?" Tracy asked, putting her hand out for me to hold.

I nodded my head and took her hand. I got out of the minibus, and as we all walked towards the crowds, Mike said, "okay, stay close. We're not losing any of you in this crowd!"

The closer we got, the more anxious I was. I wanted to turn back, but I couldn't. Nobody understood me. I squeezed Tracy's hand in fear, which made her worry.

"Are you okay?" she asked. I didn't respond.

She told Mike we'd catch him up, and she bent down in front of me so we were at each other's eye level.
