"Thanks for that" I laughed as we got ready to leave the gym a few hours later
"Anything for my best mate" George grinned and nudged my shoulder, I rolled my eyes but felt my phone vibrating in my pocket
"Hang on" I stopped and pulled it out to see an unfamiliar phone number. I shrugged and answered it anyway "Hello?"
"Hi, is this Scarlett Chilwell?"
"Yes this is her"
"Hi, my name is Zak Brown, and I'm part of the management team of McLaren Formula One Racing this season. We watched your races last season in Formula Two, and were wondering if we could possibly discuss moving you up as a racer this year?"
I stopped dead in my tracks
"Oh my gosh, yes, of course, I would be delighted!"
"Great, well how about we meet in 2 days at the McLaren factory? We were also hoping that maybe you could keep this a secret from Lando, it might be a nice surprise for him"
"Yeah you can trust me with that" I laughed
"Okay, we'll be in touch"
"Thank you so much"
"Have a nice day"
I hung up the phone and slowly lowered it into my bag "What's wrong sis? You alright?" George asked me
"I got in," I said slowly
"What?"
"I got in" I looked up at him "I got in, George! I got in,!"
"Got into what?"
"I got the seat as a McLaren driver! I'm going to be driving with Lando!" I shrieked and George swung me around
"I told you!" He grinned
"But we can't tell Lando" I added
"Sweet" He laughed "Come on, let's get you home, Lando should be there now"
"Alright," I smiled and got in his car. We drove home chatting about our future's in F1 before he dropped me at home and I headed inside to see Lando waiting for me
"Hey, darling" Lando smiled and pulled me into his chest, wrapping his arms around my petite frame "How was your day?"
"It was fine, yours?" I asked
"Good" He nodded "Why are you so smiley?"
"I don't know" I shrugged playfully "You'll see"
"Alright fine" He groaned and we collapsed onto the sofa toegther
