My eyes fluttered open and I realised that Lando wasn't in bed next to me
"Lando?" I said, my voice groggy "Lando?"
The hotel room door opened and Lando came in pushing a trolley of food, he smiled when he saw me awake "Good morning". He wheeled it next to me and climbed over me into bed, he wrapped an arm around my waist and smiled down at me "Happy one year darling"
"Happy one year love" I giggled and leaned up to kiss him "You got all this for me?"
"Well it is our special day" He grinned and we tucked into the food. Once we were done eating, we changed into our McLaren shirts and trousers before heading downstairs
The two of us had booked a separate hotel from the other drivers to celebrate our anniversary. It was right by the water and our room had a balcony that overlooked the sea
We got in a taxi and headed to the track where the other drivers were
"There they are!" I was swept off my feet by George spinning me around "Happy anniversary" I laughed and he finally set me down before turning to Lando "Look after her alright?"
"Always" Lando winked and Alex jogged over
"Congrats guys" He hugged both of us and slung an arm over Lando's shoulders while George did the same to me "So you've managed to put up with this little shit for a year huh?" Lando shoved him
"Nah I think this one's more annoying" George teased and wrapped his arms around me.
"Oi oi!" I turned around and saw my brother walk in with his team
"Benny!" I cried and sprinted into his arms, he laughed and caught me, he kissed my forehead and we all walked over to the others
Ben reached out and clapped Lando on the back "Hey, thank you for looking after her"
"Of course" He smiled
"I just can't believe you've put up with her for a year" Ben teased
"Why does everyone think I'm annoying?" I laughed
"Because you are" George winked
"Lando! Scarlett!" Zak came into the paddock "First off, happy one year anniversary, but we need you two for warm-ups"
"Why" I groaned
"Because it's your job" He grinned
"Come on" Lando grabbed my hand
"But I'm tired" I whined
"Your fault" He chuckled
"Actually it's yours" I winked
"Oi, that's my little sister" Ben shook his head
"Come on" Lando grabbed me under my knees and threw me over his shoulder, I laughed and we walked to our garage.
Hours later we walked out hand-in-hand onto the grid. Lando leaned over and kissed me quickly before we separated and got into our cars
