Scarlett POV
We were now on lap 43 out of 66 and I was currently in P4 behind Max with Lance Stroll behind me, we had just gone around the 10th corner when Lance got alarmingly close to me
I pushed him back and we went down the straight. But as we neared the 11th corner we were wheel to wheel
"And Stroll and Chilwell go wheel to wheel! The McLaren just manages to pull ahead, but as they head into the 11th chicane Stroll slips past her! Chilwell fights back but Stroll locks up, and there's a crash! Chilwell's car flies off the track and she flips! Stroll is sent flying into one of the barriers!"
Scarlett POV
My heart was beating out of my chest, my body felt numb like and I could hardly breathe
"Scarlett? Are you okay?"
"My leg" I managed to say before my radio cut
Lando POV
"Lando, Scarlett's flipped!" I heard from the team
"Is she okay?!" I immediately panicked
"She said something about her leg but now isn't responding"
"Where is she?!"
"Up ahead"
"Holy shit!" I said once I had seen her car flipped against the barriers, I pulled my car into the side and jumped out, throwing off my helmet and balaclava in the process
"And Lando Norris now retiring from the race to go and look after his teammate and girlfriend Scarlett Chilwell"
I ran towards her car and with the help of the crew we got her car back on its wheels
They helped her out of the car and as soon as she had off her helmet and mask I pulled her into my arms
"You're okay" I panted
"Lando" She whimpered
"I've got you" I whispered and kissed her head
"You retired from the race?!" She exclaimed
"Yes" I placed a hand over her mouth as she opened it "I'm not racing when your car has been flipped, I love racing but you're more important to me" She smiled and I hugged her again "Come on, let's head back to the garage"
She nods and we begin to walk but she hissed in pan after a few steps"Shit!" She cursed
"What is it?" I asked, immediately worried
"My hip" She winced "I hit it in the crash"
"Okay hang on" I looped an arm under her knees and the other one around her back to pick her up bridal style "I've got you love"
"Thank you" She whispered and buried her face into the crook of my neck
"And that is both McLaren drivers out of this race, but by the looks of it Chilwell has injured her hip in the collision with Stroll, and now Lando is carrying her back to the pits"

Yes, Scarlett's okay but they insisted on taking her to the medical center. Some people said I should have finished the race but her safety is much more important to me, I don't care if I don't get points as long as she's safe❤️

"Scar!" Alex and George came running into the Medical centre where she was lying on a bed with Lando next to her
"Are you okay? I saw your crash and holy shit Scar you scared me. Does it hurt?-"
"George I'm fine" She laughed and he sighed in relief. She leaned into his torso and he kissed the top of her head
"We were so worried about you" Alex perched on the edge and placed a hand on her leg "My engineer got so sick of me asking about you"
"Mine did too" George laughed
"Promise us you'll never do that again" Lando added
"I promise" Scarlett chuckled "But I'm bored here, can we go do something"
"Considering you need to rest, I say FIFA" Alex grinned at her "unless you're too chicken to play me".
