Today we were doing a formula one fan event in Monaco, Lando gripped my hand tightly as we were led out with Lewis, Max, Valterri, Pierre, Charles, and Sebastian
I waved to the crowd and was passed my microphone by my assistant, the first few questions were always the same: How do you feel after your placing today? What are you excited about for qualifying? How do you feel about your car today? What are you looking to change?
Until one little girl who must have been around 12 spoke up
"Hi, so this isn't really related to the race today but I wanted to ask Lando and Scarlett what it's like to race as a couple?"
I chuckled and felt my cheeks go red, but luckily Lando answered for me "Well when I drive I don't think about anything but the car and pushing myself to the limit, I don't even think about my own safety. But in the back of my mind, I always worry about Lettie" I blushed again as Lando pulled me into his side
"I feel the same when I drive, like when I heard Lando crashed I panicked but I knew I couldn't stop" I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder
"You should see these two together before a race" Lewis chuckled and pretended to gag
"Oh shut up" I laughed and nuzzled my face into the crook of Lando's neck
"Yeah, real romantic she is" Max grinned
"More than Lando" I teased
"That's not true!" Lando protested "At least not for now"
"What do you mean?" Charles asked
"Well let's just say I've got something big planned for Sunday" Lando grinned and rested his head on mine
"You see? All the lovey-dovey stuff is making me sick" Lewis laughed
"But seriously, it is difficult driving as a team and as a couple because obviously when we race we each have a different strategy and only one of us can be on a winning one, so it's hard to know that only one of us can win" Lando explained
"Yeah, well last year in Austria, I remember how scared I was because Lando was right behind me and since my radio had broken I had to ask the team to connect my radio to Lando's since I couldn't hear them and I didn't want to take the win away from him but he said to me that it was okay and whenever I won, it felt like he did too" I smiled up at Lando and placed a kiss on his cheek
That night once we had done all of our media and strategic talks, Lando and I headed back to our hotel room
"I'm so proud of you" Lando mumbled and kissed the top of my head as we cuddled in bed
"Thank you, but now I'm scared for Quali" I bit my lip
"Don't be" Lando grinned and pulled me closer "I love you, angel"
"I love you too babe" I smiled and leaned up to kiss him lightly.
