AMELIAS POV
I was driving to the airport. I could barely grasp the concept that he was leaving. I pulled into a parking spot and I looked over at him and he was staring out the window.
"Hey," I said softly.
"Hey," he said as he looked over at me. I put my hand on top of his and he smiled.
"I'm going to miss you so much," he said.
"I'm gonna miss you more," I said.
"But guess what," he said.
"What?" I said.
"I love you," he smiled.
"I love you too," I smiled. I leaned in and kissed him softly. I pulled him as close to me as possible. I knew we had to get out and I wasn't prepared. Over the past two weeks I ran this through my mind so many times and now it was here, and I feel so numb. We got out of the car and I grabbed his hand and he pulled me close to him.
"Before you know it I'll be back," he said.
"Yeah," I said, trying not to cry. We walked inside and Owen grabbed his ticket and we started walking to the gate. I could feel the tears pouring down my face and Owen stopped walking. He hugged me tightly and we didn't say anything. I started crying in his arms and he held me close and kissed my head.
"Don't go," I said crying, "please Owen."
"Mia you know I don't want to," he said crying.
"I love you so much," I said.
"I love you more," he said and kissed me passionately.

They were now boarding and I was an absolute mess. They called Owens name and my heart sunk. I got up and hugged him tightly. He lifted me up and hugged me.
"I love you so much. Mia you're the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. And I will come back for you, I promise. I don't break promises Mia, you know that. So I love you, so much, god you have no idea how much I love you. And in 7 months we will see each other again okay?" He said in my ear.
"I love you," I said, "please be safe okay? Be safe and be awesome. I love you too Owen, and you too are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me." He smiled and I smiled back. He kissed me once more and as he left I felt my heart shatter.
