AMELIAS POV
Today was the gender reveal party. I was nervous and stressed as hell, because my family can NEVER behave anywhere, besides Derek and Meredith of course. Derek convinced me to invited all my sisters along with my mom because they'll bitch and complain if I didn't. Owen and I were going to pop a balloon and then it would be pink for our family. I was really excited but I was more worried how my family was going to act.
OWENS POV
I was nervous as hell because I wanted to propose to Amelia today. I've been wanting to do it for weeks and I've been so nervous. I've been talking to Derek for weeks about it and he obviously thinks it's a good idea. Derek told me I had to ask her mom and I did, and thankfully she said I can do it. I know my mom and Megan are super excited about it too, but I'm incredibly nervous. What if she says no? I know that's ridiculous but what is she does? I walked into the kitchen and I had the ring in my pocket, I was thinking about it and I smiled, I love her so much. I just really hope nobody spoiled it for her. Amelia walked into the kitchen and she looked so worried.
"Why did I invite them?" She said, "Why was I that stupid?"
"Amelia, it will be okay," I said and put my arm around her.
"But you saw what happened last time," she sighed.
"Well Derek and I are both here and will not let that happen Okay?" I said.
"Okay," she nodded. The doorbell rang and her face went pale. I grabbed her hand and pulled her close to me.
"It's okay mia," I said and opened the door. It was my mom and she smiled. My mom talked to Amelia for a while and I was so nervous because I was going to propose soon. The doorbell rang again which meant it was Amelias family this time. I locked eyes with her and she looked so scared that my heart broke. I grabbed her hand and opened the door and they all smiled.
"Hello!" Carolyn said and hugged us. They were all being really polite so maybe today was going to be different from the rest.
AMELIAS POV
Owen and I were about to pop the balloon on our deck that was filled with pink confetti.
"Before we do this I would like to say something real quick," Owen said.
"Owen what?" I said softly to him.  I turned to face him and he was down on one knee. I put my hand to my mouth as he got a ring out and he smiled.
"Amelia Shepherd, you are the love of my life. You have brightened my day every single day, and every morning I wake up next to you. You always put a smile on my face and make me laugh whenever I'm with you, you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I cannot wait to start this family with you, with our child here, in this house, and watch you become an amazing mother. I love you so much Amelia, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so with that, will you marry me Amelia?" He said.
"Oh my god yes!" I said and hugged him. He slid the ring onto my finger and kissed me.
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you too," he smiled.
"Congratulations!" My mom smiled and hugged me.
"Did you know?" I chuckled.
"Of course I knew," she chuckled.
"Congratulations you two!" Evelyn smiled. Everyone congratulated us and then we realized we still had to pop the balloon.
"Okay gender reveal time!" I laughed.
"Should we count to three?" Owen suggested.
"Sure," I smiled.
"Alright, 1,2,3!" Owen said as we popped the balloon and pink confetti shot out.
"It's a girl oh my god!" Meredith said and hugged me. I smiled and I was so excited and happy, I was having a little girl and Owen and I were getting married!
