Tahimik lang ako naka-sunod sa ama ni Ila, hindi ko alam kung panu ko sya kakausapin o kung anu ba ang dapat pa namin pag-usapan,I never met the parents,not even for Khea.

"Jaime Dee" bago inilahad nya ang palad sa akin,tinanggap ko ang palad nya,dito kami sa adjacent room ni Manila,since VIP suits ito meron nakalaan para sa makakasama nya "Maupo tayo" aya sa mini sala duon.Umupo ako sa opposite side nya, aaminin ko bahagya ako kinakabahan but he looks calm but far from being warm.

"You know Manila is my one and only child, we may have differences but I love her of course and I only...We only wants the very best for her" he smile but never reach to his eyes,na para bang sasabihan nya akong lumayo kay Ila which I will not do...never... "Hija what is your plan sainyo ng anak ko? was she some face na one day—".

"Sir I am so sorry to cut you,hindi naman ako pinalaking bastos ng magulang ko" putol ko sa anu mang sasabihin nya "And yes I have plans for us".

His face turns stone "like what?".

Natigilan ako mabilis akong nag-isip at parang natural na lumabas sa bibig ko "I want to marry your daughter...in time".

Then a soft mocking laugh came out from him...alam ko na kanino nag-mana si Ila certainly not to her father "You're still in college right?".

He irritates me but I keep reminding myself he is the father of Ila "I'll be graduating two weeks from now and I will start working on the family business".

"So you want to marry my daughter and spend your family money? is that it?".

"Your mother owns my bank not just the main branch but all the branch na pinagpaguran ko itayo at palaguin" my jaw just literally dropped "Yes I am just a regular employee of your mom and she wants it back" he sigh "Manila doesn't know about it,wag mo na lang din masasabi sa kanya because it's a family matters" ilang segundo ang lumipas I cannot utter any word sa huli sya rin ang bumasag sa katahimikan "Ganun ba ang gusto mo mangyari sayo? ang maging tauhan ka ng magulang mo? na kung may hindi sila gusto sa mga ginawa o gagawin mo pa lang biglang babawiin sayo ang lahat?then what will happen to you and Ila?"

Then I am lost for words and left in a deep thoughts.

"Are you nervous?" tukso ko kay Manila habang tinutuyo ko ang hair ko at sya naman ay naglalagay ng make up sa sarili.It's been 3 days since we decided na kausapin ang both side namin.

She gave me a loop sided smile "Kinda" we arranged a small dinner for her family and my family,when her dad asked me about my plan for her sa totoo lang hindi ko inasahan that it will come out from me and timming naman na yun din pala ang gusto nya because of her near death experience I shrug the thought ayoko isipin na hindi pagmamahal ang dahilan nya sa pagpapakasal sa akin.

Lumapit ako sa kanya at kinuha mula sa kamay nya ang lipstick bago ako na mismo ang naglagay sa kanya "You know you are perfect for me,right?".

She pouted "Parang hindi naman bab".

I gave her a quick peck sa lips "well you are and you amazed every inch of me" I know I have to give her a pep talk dahil ramdam na ramdam ko yung kaba nya.

She hugged me at medyo nanginginig yung boses "If someone tells me few weeks ago na maiinlove ako sayo I wouldn't believe that person" she sob "but I love you and that's the only reason I want to marry you,never ever doubt that bab".

I hugged her back at hinagod ko ang likod nya para kalmahin sya "Not a second bab" I kiss her forehead ng maghiwalay kami ng yakap.She look so regal sa suot nya she is just wearing a simple pale yellow dress with a simple gold necklace na may pendant na krus habang nakasuot naman ako ng maroon dress showing of my curves.
