It's You Again God

24. Jesus is Lord

It's You again God,

I am hearing that little song again —Jesus is Here but this time the words are:

Jesus, Jesus is Lord
Jesus, Jesus is Lord
My heart tells me that
Jesus, Jesus is Lord

It's really great to be reminded of Your Lordship Jesus! Lord is not a word that is used a lot in titles today, except perhaps in England! There is so much authority and power in the title and I see how it was used with Your Name more frequently after Your resurrection and ascension. Believing and declaring that You are Lord, is the very basis of our conversion. Paul preached:

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You for all You went through so that I can know you as my Lord and Saviour! Thank You that the message of Your lordship spread all the way to me!

"You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all."
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:36‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank You Jesus that You reign and Your authority is over everything in heaven and on the earth! No one is free of Your lordship! Even those who deny that You exist are still touched by Your rule! They still live in this beautiful world that You created. All creation cries out that You are Lord!

I continue to lift up my loved ones who still believe the lie from the enemy, that freedom is found in doing what they want in life. I pray it won't be long before they realise that true freedom is actually found in submitting to Your lordship!

I am reminded that even death doesn't release anyone from Your authority Jesus. You are the Lord of both the living and the dead:

"For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living."
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I am reminded that this choice of making You Lord, can only be made while a person lives.  After they die, they will acknowledge Your lordship and be accountable to You. If they have not bowed their knee to You in life, Your Word tells me they will be forced to bend it in at judgment.

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:9-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The sad thing would be that then they would know that You are Lord but would not get to spend eternity with You! I don't want that for any of those I am praying for! Decision time is now and I pray that You would guide me and others to share the Good News with them faithfully and live our lives showing Your love and light!

There is no other like You Jesus!

I look forward to living this day through You. I worship and honour You Lord Jesus!  Thank You for the reminder of all it means to call You Lord!
