It's You again God,
I often see characteristics of patient and unswerving endurance even in the midst of pressure and affliction in others around me. I hear great testimonies of individuals who have had to deal with multiple tragedies and loss in their families or undergo ongoing battles with illnesses such as cancer. They just keep going regardless! This perseverance under pressure is what I want to see in my life in increasing measure. I so want to see perseverance, character and hope as a result of my suffering.
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
Romans 5:1-5 NIV
Thank You for Your love that we experience through the Holy Spirit! You don't leave me to suffer in silence but produce something so amazing that I want to tell others about it! Give me boldness and stir a passion in my heart for the lost. Let it overflow!
