"you want me to come to brunch with you?" audrey asked, her eyes narrowed at her friend.

"um, yeah, i don't wanna be the only girl there, ya know," christina said, giving audrey a cheesy smile.

"no, absolutely not, i am not coming to brunch with you," audrey said, getting up and crossing her arms.

"fine, rey, stay here and starve, i ate all your toast," christina said, shrugging.

audrey rolled her eyes. "or, we could both stay here and order something from keke's."

"nah, i would rather go to keke's and eat there with my boyfriend. you're probably gonna end up there too," tina said, picking up her stuff and getting ready to leave the apartment.

audrey groaned. "bye, bitch, the next time you need something don't come running to me."

"i won't, i'll be in california in like, a week."

audrey rolled her eyes, plopping back onto the couch and opening her phone as her front door closed.

she opened the uber eats app, getting ready to order a breakfast that christina wouldn't steal.

waffles? fuck yes. pancakes? um, duh. yogurt? yes please. eggs? sure, why not. apple juice? obviously.

audrey clicked the order button, tossing her phone to the side as she turned her tv on, watching brooklyn 99 as she waited for her food to arrive.

about ten minutes later, her phone buzzed, and she picked it up, reading the text.

text message from: ubereats
we regret to inform you that your food cannot be delivered to you today.
you may cancel your order by clicking here
or pick up from the restaurant in the next hour.
thank you!

"fuck you, uber," audrey grumbled, getting up from her comfy sofa and walking to her room.

she had an hour, so she decided to change into something cute, pick up the food, and maybe go to the mall.

she browsed her small closet for a few minutes, picking out a cropped white shirt with three butterflies on it, and a pair of blue ripped jeans. her ears were adorned with small pearl earrings and her necklace was a thin gold chain. her feet were covered with white vans, and she grabbed a thin cardigan in case she became cold. audrey pulled her hair back into a messy bun, letting a few strands fall in front of her face.

with her signature coat of lip gloss, she was ready to go, and grabbed her keys and wallet and headed to keke's.

as audrey parked at the lot, she noticed a very familiar car three spaces away from hers.

christina's.

audrey sighed, running a hand over her eyes and walked into the restaurant, her face facing the floor instead of in front her, so christina hopefully wouldn't see or recognize her.

she reached the counter, showing the cashier her text from uber and the cashier walked to the back, looking for her food.

"oh, hello, nice seeing you," a voice said next to her, and audrey turned to see corbyn facing her, a friendly smile on his face.

audrey cleared her throat, but no words came out of her mouth.

"do you not remember me? i'm corbyn, christina's boyfriend, she's right there, actually i can just wave and tell her to-"

"no, no, it's okay!" she said, shaking her head furiously. "i'm good, i'm just picking up some food."

"you could join us, i'm sure no one would mind," corbyn said.

"no, i'm good, i have, um, a thing to go to, so i can't."

"well, c'mon, at least say hi to the other boys? they loved the party last night, daniel even stayed overnight at some girl's, i don't know who," corbyn rambled, pulling audrey's arm slightly as he tried to walk them over to the table.

"no, corbyn, i'm fine, and look, my food's here, i gotta go!" audrey said, snatching the food out of the cashier's hands and trying to make it out of the store before any one else saw her.

of course, that didn't happen.

"audrey, i told you you would end up here," christina's teasing voice said, as she walked up to her and corbyn.

"fuck," audrey whispered, sending a glare to christina before starting to walk away. "i gotta go tina, so bye guys! i'll see you later!"

"nuh uh, sweetie, you're coming to the table with us and saying hi to everyone," christina said, marching audrey and corbyn over to where the other boys were sitting.

"i hate you," audrey said to christina, who just smirked and said, "boys, this is one of my very good friends, audrey!"
