it's like julian wants me to kill him," daniel growled, his firsts curled as he paced the length of jonah's apartment.
the other boys sat quietly, waiting for the girls to come back and praying for audrey to handle daniel.
their prayers were answered as the door swung open, audrey the first to come through the door, her arms filled with bags. the other girls followed behind her, their arms also holding plastic bags.
"are y'all baking for us or for a country?" corbyn asked, helping christina carry some bags as they walked into the kitchen.
"where is he?" audrey asked, looking at corbyn. corbyn pointed to the living room, and audrey walked out without another word.
corbyn and the girls unpacked the bags and put everything away in the fridge or cupboards. "i hope everything's okay," he said, placing a jug of milk in the refrigerator.
"they'll be fine," tate said, but she didn't seem convinced.
"should leave the butter out to soften or keep it inside?" kay asked.
"keep it out to soften, daniel and i will be back in about half an hour," audrey said, peeking into the kitchen. "and then we'll have some baking with audrey."
she quickly opened the front door and both of them left, their footsteps fading.
"everything's gonna be fine!" christina said as cheerfully as she could. "they're just hopefully gonna talk and hopefully gonna fuck, and then we get to make some cookies."
corbyn sighed, "sure sure, whatever."

"you need to calm down," audrey said, as she sat down on the couch at daniel's apartment.
daniel was still pacing the room, his shoulders tense, eyes wild with anger and frustration. "why can't he just leave you alone?"
"i don't know, daniel, i don't know."
"well, you better figure it out." daniel snapped, walking into his bedroom and slamming the door shut.
"what the fuck? daniel, why are you mad at me? all i've been doing is trying to get him to leave!" audrey shouted, pounding on the closed door.
silence filled the apartment, the tension thick.
the door flew open, and daniel's eyes, filled with unshed tears met audrey's.
"because i just found you, and you're all i ever wanted. i don't want to lose you to him." he whispered. "i can't lose you."
"dani," audrey said softly, her hands grabbing his arms. "you're never gonna lose me. don't you think i feel the same way about you?"
"you won't leave me, right?" he asked, his voice filled with desperation and vulnerability.
"never."
daniel bent down, letting his lips meet audrey's. she was hesitant, but she soon let her lips move against his, a perfect match.
"let me show you how much you mean to me."

"why isn't daniel answering his phone?" jack complained, as he tried to call his friend for what felt like the thousandth time.
"they probably didn't hear the phone ring, don't worry about it," gabbie said, running her hand through jack's curls.
they were still in the hospital, the last few checkups were about to be finished, but until then, jack and gabbie were cuddled together on the bed, jack softly laying his head on gabbie's stomach.
"we need to tell them about the son of a bitch that decided to threaten my girlfriend." jack said, rolling his eyes as he sent a text to audrey asking her where she was.
"jack, language! we have a baby here, literally."
"it's not like she can speak, gabbie."
"i don't care."
"fine," jack groaned. "i need to tell them about the idiot that decided to threaten my girlfriend."
"that's a little better, i guess."
jack rolled his eyes. "lemme call jonah," he said, putting it on speaker.
jonah picked up on the second ring, "hey jack."
"bro, where's daniel and audrey? some asshole decided to threaten gabbie when i wasn't there and told her to ask audrey who he was."
"jack, i swear to god, stop cussing," gabbie warned, smacking the back of jack's head.
"aw, hey gabs," jonah said.
"hey, jo."
"so where's daniel?" jack asked.
"um, both of them went back to the apartment a while ago because of an instagram post her ex posted so they're probably fucking right now-"
"you're joking, right? stop cussing, jonah," gabbie replied. "i have a baby here."
"sorry, sorry, they're probably making love right now, so they'll call you back whenever, i guess."
jack groaned. "i can't believe this, that boy cant keep it in his pants for more than a day now that she's here."
"it's a good thing, i'm sure he needs it," jonah said, laughing. "i'll call you back, zach thinks he can beat me in fortnite."
"bye, bitch."
"jack robert avery!"
"sorry, love, bye bestie."

audrey and daniel lay in bed, the only thing covering them being the soft white sheets. "i'm sorry."
"for what, dani?"
"being mad at you and then pulling you into bed like this."
"i mean, i don't mind. but yeah, it would be nice if we didn't end up in bed every time something happened."
"it's just, i've been alone for quite a while, and you're just so perfect, i can't believe i found you."
"i cant believe i found you either."
they stayed together silently for a few minutes when audrey suddenly jolted up, gasping, "we need to go back to jonah's!"
daniel sighed. "i don't wanna, let's just stay in bed and relax."
"but i wanna bake with the girls," audrey pouted, grabbing her clothes and putting them on.
"fine, let's go," daniel said, rolling over to grab his phone from the ground.
"why the fuck has jack called me thirteen times?"
