one week later

one week later, audrey was on a plane heading to minnesota, smiling at the thought of seeing daniel again and feeling like she was going to throw up at the thought of seeing her father again.

she hated flying alone, but christina was on tour. the good thing was that tate was going to be there too, since that was where jonah's family lived.

the plane landed late, and audrey could see her boyfriend checking her phone and biting his lip, worried, right before she walked into the private lounge, a huge grin on her face.

the change on daniel's face was instant, a smile he was trying to hide on his lips as he squeezed audrey in a hug. "why didn't you text me?"

"phone was dead, love, and i forgot about charging it since i fell asleep," audrey replied, pressing a kiss against daniel's soft lips.

"ahem," zach cleared his throat, making audrey spin around to look at him. "we're here too, ya know."

audrey laughed, pulling zach into a hug and then doing the same with each of the boys.

"where's tate?" she asked jonah.

"she's at my parents' house, svea and her were cooking and svea didn't want her to leave. but she's really excited to see you again."

audrey beamed. "oh my god, will i meet your family?"

jonah nodded. "yeah, since the dinner thing with your dad's only in the evening we can go out and do stuff and y'all can stay there overnight since our house is pretty big."

audrey nodded. "sounds perfect."

"please tell me you don't wanna go hiking," corbyn said, his eyes pleading with audrey. "we've been forced to do too much of that since we got here yesterday."

"well, it's okay, we don't have to hike this time," audrey said. "i would rather get some ice cream."

the boys cheered, and they all started to walk to the van. "who's driving?"

"not zach!" the boys all shouted, making the boy glare at them.

"fuck you."

"i'll drive," audrey said, catching the keys as jonah threw them to her with no complaint. "daniel's shotgun."

"that's my girlfriend," daniel said, laughing at the other boys as he opened the trunk, put audrey's suitcase inside, and then got into the passenger seat.

the boys squeezed into the back, zach grumbling about jonah's big legs and daniel complaining about jack's hair getting in his face.

audrey started the car, daniel tapping her shoulder. she turned her head towards him, silently asking him what was wrong. he shook his head, a small smile on his lips as he grabbed her chin, pushing his lips against hers.

"disgusting."

audrey didn't have to turn around to know that zach had said the word, instead she glared at him through the mirror. "zachary, shut up."
