"you've got to be fucking kidding me," daniel groaned as he walked up to the blonde haired man, whose back was facing him.
he was at a gas station about ten minutes away from the villa where they were all staying.
allison had told him to meet her brother here, because he had the string lights, flowers, and permit for him to rent out a part of the beach.
he just wasn't expecting her brother to be aiden.
aiden turned, his face dropping as he stared at daniel. "you're daniel?" he asked, his eyes looking everywhere but at him.
daniel nodded. "honestly, i'm not surprised allison's your sister, it must run in the family, ruining people's relationships. the only
good thing that's coming out of it is that your sister's helping me with this.""i wasn't trying to ruin your relationship, i thought she was single."
"really? even after i kissed her? you must be really stupid. you're lucky i'm not angry anymore, and that's only because audrey kicked you in the balls first."
aiden winced, his face scrunched up. "that shit hurt, man, it wasn't funny."
"don't fucking touch another girl like that, and we won't have a problem," daniel said, his voice low as he glared at aiden.
"trust me, i won't. anyway, the lights are in this box," he said, walking to his truck. "the permit's in an envelope inside, and the flowers will be delivered to the beach in the evening."
aiden handing the box to daniel, who accepted it with a grunt. "damn, that's heavy."
"yeah, i know, you asked for a lot of lights."
"well, thanks man, i guess," daniel said, as he started walking back to the car.
aiden waved, quickly getting in his truck and driving off.
daniel put the box in the front seat, getting in the driver's seat and driving off to the beach, where zach and jonah said they would join him.
his plan was pretty simple. decorate the part of the beach allison rented out for him with the lights and flowers, and surprise audrey with it, and then ask her out.

fifteen minutes later, zach, jonah, and tate met daniel at the beach, holding tables and chairs.
security tape was around the perimeter of the area of the beach where they would be decorating, and under the bright hawaiian sun, they started transforming the beach into a wonderland.
"i can't believe you're doing all of this just to ask her out," jonah panted as he put up the tent- like structure on the sand.
tate laughed. "imagine what he's gonna do for the engagement," she added.
"he'll end up renting out the entire island," zach said, holding the bunches of roses and daisies and sunflowers that had just been delivered to them.
"oh thank god, the flowers are here," daniel said, walking up to them, a blanket and tablecloth in his hand. "tate, can you put this blanket inside the tent, and zach, put this tablecloth over on that table right there, i'll take the flowers."
"i'm happy you're letting us all eat dinner with you guys," jonah said. "we get free food."
daniel rolled his eyes. "you better not mess anything up."
"we won't, don't worry. we know how important this is to you," tate said, crawling out of the makeshift tent. "the blanket and the lights inside are set."
"the table is set!" zach shouted.
"okay, put these flowers on the table, and i'll put these in the tent," daniel said, handing a bouquet to jonah.
"woo! we're done, three hours later," zach said, as he stood back to admire their work.
"thank you guys so much," daniel said, pulling the three of them in a hug. "i'll see you guys here in about two hours."
"what're you gonna do?" tate asked.
"i'm just gonna prepare myself."
"for when she says no after you ask her out?" zach smirked.
"shut up, z," jonah said, smacking the younger boy. "dani's already nervous. i love seeing him like this."
daniel rolled his eyes, "get out, idiots, i'll see you later."
