"no."
"yes."
"no."
"yes you are, rey, you don't have a choice," noah grinned, pulling the girl to the small group of people, sitting down in a circle as they got ready to play.
"i am not playing truth or dare with my ex- oh my god," audrey said, stopping her sentence as noah pushed her to sit down, right in between daniel and himself.
daniel shot her a small smile, audrey turning away to look at noah, her eyes narrowed as she mouthed a "fuck you."
"fuck him instead," noah mouthed back, pointing at daniel.
audrey rolled her eyes, looking around the circle, meeting eyes with christina, zach, and jack.
"okay, let's get started," corbyn said, clapping his hands. "rules, jonah?"
jonah placed a bottle of vodka in the center of the circle, "you choose truth or dare, if you don't answer, or do the dare, you drink."
oh, you have got to be kidding me.
audrey looked at christina, whose expression revealed it was all her that had planned this out.
"any questions?" jonah asked.
audrey raised her hand, jonah nodding in her direction.
"can i leave?"
"no!" all the voices around her shouted, noah's the loudest.
audrey sighed. "fine."
"okay, i'm first," jonah said, looking around the circle, his brown orbs landing on christina. "christina, truth or dare."
"truth," christina said, eyes bright.
"least favorite thing about your boyfriend."
christina smiled moving closer to corbyn. "nothing."
corbyn pressed a kiss to her forehead, his arm wrapping around her.
"disgusting," zach coughed.
"okay, my turn, zachary," christina replied, looking at the youngest with daggers in her eyes. "truth or dare?"
"dare."
"jump into the ocean and don't come back for like, a hour," christina said, "jonah, noah, and jack, go with him."
jack opened his mouth, but christina glared at him, and the four boys got up, heading back to the beach, which was only a short walk away.
"now that the idiots are gone," christina said, turning back to daniel, audrey, and corbyn, the only ones left behind. "talk to each other."
"what?" both audrey and daniel said together, looking at the girl. "what do you mean?"
christina pursed her lips. "i said talk to each other, not at the same time," she said. "now, talk."
daniel sighed, turning to audrey, who was staring at her hands in her lap.
"hi," daniel said, his voice scratchy, as if he was about to cry.
audrey looked up at him, her lips curved slightly as she said, "hey, daniel."
"wow, that wasn't so hard, was it?" christina said, clapping sarcastically. "now, i would say kiss or fuck, but instead, you two can have a conversation. isn't that gonna be fun?"
audrey looked at christina incredulously, her eyes wide. "what the fuck are you doing?"
"she thinks we're still in love with each other," daniel responded, standing up. "but that's not true, i know."
audrey opened her mouth, but daniel continued. "i know, i lost you, i'm not getting you back. but i still love you."
"daniel-"
"this was a horrible idea," daniel said to christina as he started walking. "i'm going home."
he walked away, audrey staring after him, frozen.
i don't love him? what an idiot, he doesn't love me.
"well, bitch, what are you waiting for?" christina shouted, pointing at daniel. "go get your man!"
