The alarm woke up Mariah, she opened her eyes and let the adjust to the morning light.She finally say up in bed. Mariah heard a baby cry"And so the day begins"she said out load .She walked over to one of the cribs and her heart sank
"TESSA,they are gone"She yelled as she checked the other crib
She frantically ran out of the room"The babies are gone"
Tessa met her in the hallway"Mariah calm down"she said in a soft voice and put her hands on Mariah's shoulders"I'm here"she brought her into a hug"We are going to get through this"she told her as she held her
"All I want to know is where our daughters are"she pulled away
Tessa took a deep breath"Honey the doctors said this could happen. Mariah I'm so sorry we lost the babies"
"No"Mariah started shaking her head"That is not possible Tessa I heard one of them cry. We didn't lose them. I didn't lose them"she started crying
"Honey it's true,the doctors did everything they could for them but they didn't make it"
"NO"she screamed as she fell into Tessa's arms and collapsed to the ground
"Shh I got you"Tessa said crying as she rocked her back and forth
"NOOO" Mariah shot up in bed trying to catch her breath.Sweat was dripping off her.She looked down and saw her still swollen stomach
