It was the next morning Mariah was sitting on the couch lost in her own thoughts when Noah walked in he looked at her
"Woah rough night"he asked
"Don't ask"she said as she put her coffee on the table
"Is everything ok, did something happen"he sat down next to her
"I knew it was going to happen, I knew Tessa was going to have some PTS. I was ready but last night"she had tears in her eyes"She wasn't sleeping and she kept screaming I felt so bad for her because I couldn't help her and the worst part is. I know something had to have happen but she won't let me in she won't talk to me"
Noah wrapped his arm around her"Its going to take time. You should remember how it was when Ian kidnapped you"
"I know"she nodded
"It took you weeks to open up to us and to let us in"
"That was different because I just found out you were my family so of course I was distant"
They heard footsteps Mariah quickly wiped her tears away.She looked over at Tessa"Morning"she said
Tessa looked over not making eye contacted"Morning"she said quietly
"Are you hungry I can fix you something to eat"Mariah asked
"No I'm good"she said then looked at Noah"Noah I want to thank you for helping save Crystal and I. I know it couldn't have been easy for you to do"
" I did what I had to do"he looked over at Mariah "You know "he said pointing at Mariah"She never gave up on you"he walked over to Tessa and hugged her"So don't let go of her"he whispered to her and kissed her on the cheek
Noah looked back at Mariah"Mariah I'll be at Dark Horse if you need me"he said then he left
"Look about what he just said I didn't mean to tell him ,I swear"
"i'm not mad,look I'm sorry about last night"
"No it's ok I understand"she took Tessa's hands"You don't need to apologize to me"
"About what Noah said, I don't want to shut you out,I just don't want you to think differently of me"she started crying
Mariah grabbed her and hugged her tight.A few minutes later Mariah pulled away and cupped her face"Hey I could never ever think differently of you."she wiped Tessa's tears away"I know it's going to take time I get it. I just want you to know when you're ready I'll be here to listen"
Tessa smiled and then gave Mariah a soft kiss on her lips then hugged her again
Crystal came down"Morning"she said
Tessa and Mariah pulled away and looked over at Crystal"Morning"they both said
"Crystal you hungry I can make you something to eat"Mariah asked
"Ya that will be great thank you"she smiled at her
"Tessa I'm not taking no for an answer you are eating something even if that means i have to feed you myself"she said with a stern voice
"Alright"she said knowing Mariah meant it
They all went to the kitchen.Crystal and Tessa sat at the island while Mariah made pancakes
"Do you two want chocolate chips in your pancakes"she asked
"Sure"Crystal said
Mariah looked at Tessa"Tess"
Tessa smiled "Sure"
