It was early in the morning Mariah woke up and looked at the clock and groaned she rolled out of bed and went downstairs. She was making coffee when her phone rang,she took one look at it and knew what the call was about she dropped the glass causing it to shatter.
Sharon came running downstairs "Mariah"she said in a soft but worried voice"Sweetheart is everything alright"
Mariah looked at Sharon"She is gone"she said]
Sharon wrapped her arms around Mariah as she cried
A few minutes Mariah pulled away and wiped her eyes "Ok I have to do something for Hilary"she said as she picked up the broken pieces
"Mariah, stop"she grabbed her arm"Its alright to let yourself grieve"she said
"No I'm not gonna sit around moping Hilary would not approve"Mariah said as she walked in the living room
"She would understand"Sharon said following her daughter
"Mom,stop I need to do this for Hilary"she said as she grabbed her purse and left
Sharon felt bad for her daughter,she wanted to help her and she did the only thing she could think of
"Hey Tessa,it's Sharon"she said on the phone

Mariah was putting together a tribute show for today
"We need to do this for Hilary and show her we love her"she told the staff
She saw Devon walk in"I'll be right back"she went over to him. She wrapped her arms around him"I'm so so sorry"she said crying
"Thanks"he said as he held her
They pulled away"What are you doing here.I never expected to see you here"she said
"Well Neil told me what you had planned"
"If you don't want me to do it or don't want me to do it right now I'll understand"
"No, Mariah it's fine in fact Hilary would love this.I Actually came to give you these"he handed her pictures
"Devon"she said
"Take them,show everyone how much I loved he"
Mariah gave him one more hug"Let me know if I can do anything else"
"Will do"
Mariah walked over and gave the photos to one of her staff members"Put these in the video as well"

Sharon was cleaning the house when she found Mariah's duffel bag"What in the world "
Nick walked in"What is it"he asked
"It's Mariah's"she said as she found the train ticket"She is going to leave"
"Sharon, you don't know that"Nick said
"Nick it's a train ticket for tonight"she showed him
"What are you going to do"he asked her
"I'm going to find her,I'm not gonna let her leave especially now"she grabbed her keys and ran out
A little while later Mariah was telling the crew what needed to be done when she saw her mother come in"I'll be right back" she told them and walked over to Sharon"I didn't know you were coming"she told her
"Well I didn't know I was going to have to say goodbye to you"She said as she held up the train ticket
"Look, yes I was going to leave town but I couldn't abandon my family and Hilary"she said ]
"Oh sweetheart"she said as she rubbed Mariah's arm"Did this have to do with Tessa,did something happen"
"Yes it had everything to do with Tessa.I mean I just got the chance to be with her I couldn't lose her that quickly"She said as she tried not to cry"But long story shot.Tessa is gone she left this morning" She looked back "Look I promise I'll talk to you about this but right now I need to do the show"
"Sure,do you mind if I stay?"she asked
"No, I would love it"she hugged her
"I love you"Sharon said
"I love you too"she said and went back to work
During the show Sharon watched in amazement on how her daughter talked about Hilary. It broke her heart even though half the time Mariah was annoyed with Hilary Sharon could tell this was killing Mariah. She saw Tessa come in she walked over to her
"How is she doing?"Tessa asked
"Keeping it together"Sharon told her"I just know she is going to have breakdown because she won't show her emotions for long"
They both watched as Mariah broke down
"Tessa Mariah told me you were leaving I didn't know until after I called you.Which I'm kind of surprised you came back"
Tessa was watching Mariah"When you called me and told me Hilary died. I knew I needed to be here,for Mariah"Tessa said
Sharon smiled"Well I'm going to go, I'll see you "she said as she went to leave
"Oh Sharon"Tessa stopped her"I just want you to know I wasn't leaving Mariah I can't lose her not after how long it took to be together"
Sharon looked at her"Mariah said the same thing about why she was going to leave"
"She did?"Tessa asked
Sharon nodded then left
Tessa watched Mariah sign off the show and sit there in tears
Mariah was taking off her mic when she looked up and saw those hazel eyes she never thought she would see again.She ran over to her
"The tribute show was phenomenal"Tessa said
"What are you doing here,you supposed to be on a train right now"
"I know, but when Sharon called me and told me what happened. I knew I had to come back. I'm still going to Chrystal but I told her something came up for her not to worry that I'll still be there soon"
"Good because she needs you"Mariah smiled through her tears
"You need me too"Tessa said as she wiped Mariah's tears away
"No I can't let you stay for me.Your sister needs you more"
"She's got me always will"Tessa smiled at her
"I can't believe you're standing in front of me "
"I also wanted to tell you I changed my ticket from one way to round trip"she told her
"You did what"Mariah was in shock
"I thought I needed to choose but I don't really""So I'm choosing not to choose"
"Between what exactly?"Mariah asked
"Be tween my sister and my Mariah,I'll take both please"
Mariah took Tessa' hands in her"I think that is perfect"
"Come here"Tessa said as she wrapped her arms around Mariah"I'm here for you"she whispered in her ear
"I'm glad"Mariah said as she held Tessa tighter"I know you haven't been gone for twenty four hours but I missed you like crazy"
"I missed you too"she said as she cupped her face and rubbed her thumbs on Mariah's cheeks and gave her a gently kiss
