Marinette - After school.

Adrien gulped. He had to get home early, but Marinette also needed to talk to him, and he so badly also wanted to talk to her.

Adrien - I have to go home early. Why don't you come over when school ends.

Marinette replied, agreeing that she would do that. After that, he decided to sendhis mother a message saying that Marinette was coming over, but the teacher interrupted before he could.

----

Emilie waited and waited. Finally the door started opening, but it wasn't Adrien. No, instead it was Gabriel.

He walked in and looked at her. "Did you tell him yet?"

Emilie shook her head. "Adrien should be back soon, then we'll both tell him. Don't worry, with you hee, he would obviously agree with us and help us."

Gbariel nodded. The front door started ening again, and in walked Adrien. He looked up and his eyes widened when he saw Gabriel. He had changed, but he was still able to recognize his own father. But intead of greeting him, instead of welcoming him back home, he ignored him.

"Adrien!" Emilie was surprised at his atitude. "Aren't you going to bid your father welcome? He came back especially for you, and he decided to explain a few things to you. Don't hate him now."

"Is this why I came back home early?" Adrien looked down at the floor. "To see him?! I'd rather stay at school!"

"ADRIEN!"

"Why is he even back? To toment us, to call us names like he always did? Did you really think I woul for give him after he left. He decided to give up like that! He left us alone! Andwe were doing so great without him, so what's the point of coming back?!"

Gariel looked unbelievly at Adrien. "I did none of those! You're forgetting everything I've done for you."

"What? You're the one who said you didn't want me in the first place," Adrien reminded. "So, tell me, why are you back?!"

Emilie took her son's hand and made him sit down. "Listen carefully, Adrien. You got it all wrong! Your father left in hopes of finding a way to stop this curse. He wasn't trying to leave us, he was only trying to help. But when he found out that Marinette was the way to stop the curse, he came back. It's nothing bad."

"So, what do you plan on doing with the informations you have?" Adrien asked.

"Well, I'm glad you asked, Adrien." Gbariel took a seat beside him. "Marinette is the way to stop the curse, and nyou're the only one who's close to Marinette that can help us. What we want you to do is just get answers from her. Don't worry, we won't hurt her."

Adrien looked unsure, but he slowly nodded.

"You'll try and get closer to Marinette; make her have full trust on you so she doesn't suspect anything," Gabriel continued. "You can ask her questions related to the curse, but don't go telling her there's a curse placed on your family. Just ask her questions, get answers, and try to find out why she's the only one that can help us."

Adrien nodded again. It sounded like a great plan, completely harmless, and besides, Marinette already trusted him, right?

Well, no matter how he thought it was a great plan, he still felt suspicious of Gabriel. Why did he say "don't worry, we won't hurt her"? Was he planning on hurting her? Was he planning on using Adrien to hurt Marinette? Well, whatever it was, Adrien didn't feel sure about this whole thing, and it would have made him really mad if Gabriel did try something.

Emilie seemed to trust him though, by how muh she talked good about him. Adrien shook his head and headed upstairs. He felt Gabriel's eyes on him, so he walked faster up to his room.

One thing for sure; there was no way he was going to let Gabriel hurt Marinette!
