I can't believe mom would say that. But at least we still get to hang out as friends, right?

Adrien stopped to see who Marinette was talking to after he grabbed his stuff from his locker.

He wondered if he should walk forward to them, but he decided to wait for them to finish.

"Hey Adrien." Finally Marinette noticed him standing there. She took the other boy's hand and walked towards him. "Adrien, I'd like you to meet Luka. He's one of my best friends."

Adrien waved at the boy he'd never met before. If he was Marinette's friend, then the two for them could be friends too, right?

Luka waved back as Marinette introduced him. "Luka, this is Adrien. He's also one of my best friends, and the guy I was telling you about."

Adruen blushed. Marinette had been talking about him?

"It's nice to meet you, Adrien. Great to see that Marinette is making more friends, but then again, who wouldn't he her friend? She's so awesome, isn't she?"

Adrien nodded. "Yes, I agree."

"Oh, you two, stop it." Marinette turned away. "I'm going to get my stuff. You guys, wait for me."

The boys watched as Marinette walked off to her locker, a bit far away from them. As soon as she was gone, Luka turned back to Adrien.

"Back away, Adrien. She's mine!"

Adrien frowned as Luka started walking away. What was that about? Why did Luka suddenly say that?

-----

All throughout schoolday, Adrien was always receiving a glare from Luka. He shuddered, already knowing this was his love rival. Obviously Luka liked Marinette as well.

"Hey Adrien. Wanna walk home with me, Alya, Nino and Luka today?" Marinette turned to him with a smile and he quickly nodded.

"Sure." He started packing his stuff, and then followed the others out of class.

"So, how do you think you did on the test?" The girl, Alya, said, starting a conversation.

"I don't think I did too bad," Luka shrugged. "But we all know Marinette is going to ace this test. She's awesome and smart."

Adrien realized what Luka was doing. He was just complimenting Marinette so much, so Marinette could probably fall for him.

Well he wasn't going to let that happen.

"Yes, you're absolutely right. Marinette is so awesome," He chipped in. "But seriously, how can that brat, Chloe hate her? Whoever hate her is obviously just jealous."

Luka gulped, but then smiled. "Yeah, but don't mention Chloe in front of Marinette. Marinette hates her too, but only because Chloe hates her. This also reminds me of how Marinette is so strong and can stand up for herself and others."

No, he's trying to beat me! "Yeah, she is so strong, unlike any other girls I've ever met. She's got this cool vibe-"

"I bet every guys are falling for her," Luka interrupted him. "Marinette and I have known each other for a long time now. I've always been there for her and driven any guy who ever wanted to hurt her."

Alya, Nino and Marinette looked at each other, frowning.

"It's nice to see you and Marinette are great friends." Adrien smiled, but in his mind, glaring. "I hope that in the future, you two will still be the great friends you are."

He smirked when he saw Luka clench his fist and send a small glare towards him. After a while no one said anything, so Adrien knew he had won.

"Alright Luka," Marinette stopped them. Alya and Nino had already went home together. "I'll walk Adrien home. You think you can walk home yourself?"

"What am I, a baby?" Luka chuckled. "Of course I can walk home alone. You're almost making it sound like you're my girlfriend."

Adrien clenched his fist, but smirked when Marinette just rolled her eyes.

"I'm just being the great friend I am, and worrying about you. You know, you can do nothing without me," Marinette huffed as she grabbed Adrien's hand.

"Yes, I can totally do nothing without you." Marinette might have not seen it, but Adrien saw the small wink Luka sent towards her.

"Here, let's go, Marinette." He quickly started dragging her away.

I didn't think I would meet my love rival so fast...
