~Alex's POV~
I woke up with a head start as I stretched and yawned at my spot. I looked around and saw a sleeping Mal at my right, Sam at my left and Angel beside Mal. As I smiled at the three, I stretched one last time and stood up from my spot making my way to the little kitchen of the house. I made my breakfast and ate it away as I went down the house to check up on the horses who were still sleeping as well on the foot of the tree. I chuckled quietly and made my way back up the tree house quietly not to disturb my sleeping friends. As I went back inside, I saw one of them wide awake eating her breakfast as she stares at the small window near the kitchen area.
"Good Morning, Monster!" I greeted her as I sat beside her while she ate her breakfast. "Good Morning, Wild Animal. You're up early." She cocked as she turned to me with a smirk on her face. Laughing nervously, I answered back. "I... Guess I got used to waking up early for training." I scratched the back of my neck as I heard her giggle from my answer. "Don't worry, you're already getting the hang of it." She reassured as she showed a gentle smiled that made me smile back. Snapping back from my thoughts, I looked away before she noticed me being weird in front that made her to feel curious. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked as she inched a little closer that made me do a bad idea by turning to her making our face an inch away, making our eyes meet each other. "Uhhh....This is a bad timing isn't? Heheh" I said to break the awkward silent. I saw her eyes widened from the situation that made the both of us blush. We turned away quickly to end the embarrassing moment that made us laugh it out quietly. "Sorry about that." We said in unison that made us have a laughing scene. "Well, that was...awkward." She said blushing bright red as she put a strand of her purple hair behind her ear that looked so graceful.
~Mal's POV~
That was so close! I can't believe we were an inch away from kissing! That was embarrassing, I can't believe it. UGH! Shoots! I can't stop blushing and neither is he. We really definitely look like a blushing disaster. But, it still felt...good. Snap out of it Mal! Get it together! I'm definitely dying right now. "Let's put that moment aside, shall we?" He said as he gave me a small smile that made my blushing worst. "Yeah, sure. Let's!" I answered quickly without hesitance as I walk towards my bag to fix my stuff. "Hey." He called as I turned back to him. "Let's keep it a secret between us, okay?" He added with a wink that made my mouth curve into a smile as I nodded at his idea making him smile back and turn away to look at the window. As I was fixing my stuff, I jumped a little from Angels sleepy movements as she turn to her side that made my eyes widened from fear for waking her up. After I waited a good few seconds, I immediately grabbed my bag and stood up and almost tripped on Sam behind me that almost made me squeal. Good thing I levitated myself.
Whew! As I flew above them, I landed quietly gaining a little squeak from the wooden floor that made me crouch down and look behind to check if they woke up. Guess I have to fly to move around. I levitated myself once more and flew towards the ladder to go up the rooftop of the house.
After I closed the hatch, I saw Alex sharpening the blade of his sword that made it shine from the sun's light. A smile grew on my face as I fly towards him making him turn to see me flying in thin air, surrounded by green aura. "Hey, I didn't heard you coming." He said as he turned back on what he was actually doing. "Sorry, it's just that, I don't want to disturb Angel and Sam from their sleep. They were exhausted from yesterday and... I'm just glad they were okay." I remarked as I landed with a little squeak underneath me.
"Its fine. I understand it too. Yesterday was just a disturb, let's forget about it. Right now, let's be glad that we didn't earn any wound or even a single scratch from those goddamn rocks." His answer made me slip a chuckle and end it with a smile. "I guess we really are lucky that we only earn one hit from those rocks." I added that made him finish is job on his sword and look at it with satisfaction and answer back. "I guess so." I brought out my spell book and flipped through the pages out of boredom as I leaned on the railings of the rooftop that made me sit comfortably. As I was reading, I saw in the corner of my eye, Alex withdrawing his sword in it's holder and sat beside me. I look back at my book and saw a spell I already learned and flip it's page to the next until I ended up closing it from boredom with a sigh.
