Chapter 15: The truth revealed

I broke the uneven silence. "Guys, I think Hela is trying to tell us something." "Yeah but what is it?" Angel added. We all looked at each other and I conclude. "I think Hela chose us to be the new recruits of the Guardian Council. Don't you guys see? Our parents started a meeting that will actually talk about us, the new recruits. Hela and the Guardians of the realm planned this for us." They all looked surprise and relieve from my words. We all felt a good vibe and did a group hug that made us feel better. After our relief moment, I saw Kim running towards us. I stood up from my sit and went towards her.

"Mal... *puff* your mother.... *puff* is finding you." Kim said as she tries to take back her breath. "Kim, calm down. What's going on?" Kim answered. "Your mother is looking for you and your friends. She's at the throne room right now." I nodded at her and went towards the others. "Mal, what's going on?" Cass asked looking at me with worried eyes. "Mom is looking for us." We all looked at each other and broke into a run. As we enter the throne room, we saw five more creatures that are talking with my mom. We all caught our breathe and went towards them. "Monster! There you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. Where did you guys go?"

I sighed and looked at her with a smile as I answer. "We were just catching up with each other. We went to the courtyard to talk because we don't want any interruption." Margaret smiled and giggled. The five other creatures behind her giggled with her. The five took their masks off and I was shocked. They were my friends parents ---Arox, Erica, Claire, Karyn and Syre. "Mom!" Angel exclaimed as she ran to Aunty Erica. "Mommy!" Cass shouted as she hug Claire. "Dad!" Alex and Sam said at the same time as they looked at each other and giggled. "Hey there kiddo, how are you doing here huh?" Arox said as he playfully patted Alex's hair, smiling.

"Awwww, Dad!" Alex giggled as he tries to break free. "How's my most dashing son? I heard you became a guard here." Syre said as hugged Sam. "I'm doing great Dad." I looked around and heard Karlos and Kathy talking with their mom, Karyn. "Hey there my kitties, I miss you so much Karlos." "I miss you to Mom." Karlos said as he face Karyn. After watching my friends reuniting with their parents, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and saw mom smiling at me. "Mom, why did you call us?" I asked as I raise a brow. Mom giggled at my curious reaction look.

Suddenly, Mom snapped her fingers as I noticed that the others were already looking at her. She suddenly sat down on the throne and I saw the parents gathered in front of us. "We have wonderful news to tell you all." She said as I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked and saw Angel behind me smiling. "You already heard that we will be having a trip to talk about something and that something is about the new recruits for the Guardian Council." The seven of us shouted our yeses, gave each other a hug and a high-five. We fixed ourselves and saw our parents smiling.

"We decided that the seven of you will be candidates for the new recruits." We all felt excited. Mom suddenly got our attention as she snapped her fingers once more. "You guys should go back at the banquet hall and have fun. The party will soon." We all agreed and went to the banquet hall and had fun. As the party ended, we all looked exhausted but the smiles in our faces haven't faded yet. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice. I turn around and I saw Caleb with a werewolf with blue ears and tail. "Hey Mal, did you enjoy the party?" Caleb ask with a smile on his face. "Hey Caleb. Hi Luis, yeah I enjoyed it." I smiled back and looked at Luis who is smiling at me as well.

"Anyways, we better get going, it's already late for us to be outside. I'll see you next time." Caleb said as he patted my head. "Sure thing. Have a safe trip you guys. Bye." I waved at them as they left. I saw Alex, Karlos and Sam walking towards my direction. "Hey Alex, tired already?" I tease as he sat beside me. "Yeah, party is too tiring." I giggled at his answer. "Hey guys, where are Angel, Cass, and Kathy? Did they already left?" Karlos immediately answer. "Nope, your mom is talking to them about staying here." My eyes widened and I felt excited. "Really?!?!" Giggled at my answer, Sam answered back. "Yup, your mom suggested that they should stay so that our bond will grow strong for the future." I smiled and he smiled back. I went over to mom and the girls and heard mom asking. "Monster, can you escort these girls to their rooms? I want to them to stay here for all of you to grow a bond.

Me, Cass, Angel and Kathy squealed with excitement as mom covered her ears playfully. "Alright you four beautiful creatures of the realm, I want you to go now its already getting pretty late, especially you Mal." Mom said as she winked at me. I smile at her. "Okay mom. Night, love you." I said. "Night my monster." We greeted our good nights and went to our rooms. I escorted Angel, Cass and Kathy in their room. "Hey Mal, will our room be close to the guys rather than yours?" Angel asked. I giggled. "Don't worry Angel, your room is actually near mine." The three of them smiled at me and I smiled back. "Thanks Mal." Kathy said as we stand in front of the door to their room. I opened the door for them and heard wows and amazement from them. "I knew you guys would like it." "Thank you Mal!" They said in unison and we giggled. "Your welcome." I left them and went to my room to sleep in for the night.
