Chapter 13: The reunion banquet pt. 3

As I wore my dress and tie my hair up, Kim just popped up out of nowhere. "Mal!" "Gah! Kim!" As she surprised me, I fell on the floor. She was shocked and tried to help me up. "I am sososososo sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" I giggled as I fix myself up. "Its okay Kim. I'm fine. Anyways, what brings you here?" She smiled at me and started talking. "The royal majesty wants to give you this. The party will be a masquerade banquet." She handed me a purple mask with emeralds and green vines on the side and a rose in the top right corner. "Oh! I thought it would be an ordinary banquet for the both of us. I guess I didn't got the news."

I wore the mask and looked at the mirror. As I was admiring my reflection, I saw Kim amazed at my looks. "Wow Mal, you look beautiful." "Thanks Kim. You look amazing too you know." I heard her giggle and nod instead. "I'll be going Mal, I still need to check on everything for the party." "Alright." She smiled at me and left the room. I went to the banquet hall. As I looked around, I saw mom at the front. I walked towards her and gave her a hug. "So, what do you think mom?" Mom smiled at me and answered. "You look outstanding my dear." I smiled back at her and stood beside her.

I looked around and saw many creatures from all over the realm wearing beautiful clothes and bright masks. The guests started gathering at the middle as the trumpets tooted asking for their attention. I heard mom clearing her throat. "Greetings my royal companions and friends! I am thankful that all of you have joined in this wonderful event. I am here to tell you all that there will be a trip for the kings and queens of all the worlds including me. I would like to give a toast for the kings and queens all over the realm and their children who will be handling our kingdoms during our leave. Cheers!" After mom gave her speech, I heard everyone's respond and glasses clinging.

Mom nodded at me and I nod back and step forward. "Let the party start!" As Mom finishes her talk, I blasted a green ball of fire at the top of us as it forms a green dragon. The dragon sprinkled green dusts on the chandeliers and fairy lights as it fades away. The guests clapped and whistled with amazement and started dancing, talking and eating. "You should go have fun now Mal, the party won't last." "Alright mom." Mom hugged me and hugged back and went our separate ways. I immediately went towards the table full of foods and started eating chocolate cake and white spaghetti. As I finish eating, I saw an angel flying towards me.

I drank my glass and wiped my mouth and heard him asking. "Your Highness, may I have this dance?" I looked at him and answered. "Sure." I accepted his hand and started floating in thin air. Some guests looked at us. Smiles and whispers can be seen and heard from them. As we started dancing, I saw him blushing. "What's your name? I haven't seen you before." I asked him and heard him giggled. "It won't be a secret anymore if I answer but if its for a lovely princess like you then let me introduce myself. My name is Caleb, prince of the Guardian Angels and I am honored to dance with my person, the princess of dragons."

Shocked in his words, my eyes widened and I giggled. "How did you know that it was me? And do I even have a guardian angel?" He laughed at my shocked question. "Your hair and powers give it away even with that beautiful mask of yours." He flirts. I laughed at him and tried to calm myself down. "Sorry but your flirts won't affect me." "Awwww, I thought  it would work. Looks like I'm lucky to have a strong person like you princess." I giggled at his words and looked at him and saw him looking at me blushing. "Hey!" We suddenly heard someone calling. We looked around and saw someone waving at us below. We both looked at each other and went down. As we landed, a werewolf asked me immediately. "Hey monster, wanna have a dance with me?" I recognize him and giggled. "Of course wild animal. Caleb, may I?" I looked at Caleb and saw him nodding.

I smiled at him and kissed him at the cheek making him a blushing mess. "Thanks for the fun dance Caleb. See you later." I waved at him and he wave back. I accepted the werewolf's hand and he led me in the middle of the hall. The spotlight shines on the both of us and guests are starting to look at us. I also saw mom smiling at me. I looked at the werewolf who is smiling at me. I blushed and we started dancing. The werewolf grinned and I looked at him. "Hey Alex, you can stop teasing me now." His eyes widened and asked. "How did you-." I cut him off and giggled. "You called me Monster earlier. Of course it's obvious." He giggled and smiled as he blushes. "I guess my monster knows me very well, huh." "Yeah."

We looked at each other and our dance became more beautiful as the music became more romantic. As we dance, many guests were clapping and amazed with our connection. As we ended our dance with a close hold, we heard the guests clapping. Alex suddenly pulled me at a table with five more guests. As he pulled me closer to him, three of the guests were fan girling at us. Then two more guests were laughing at our reaction. Then the five of them looked at us and started taking their masks off.
