Dr Javate:
Hi, Marty. Any updates?
Amartya:
Good pm doc! Just got out of the dean's office. I'm already allowed to take a short break. Thanks for the help!
Dr Javate:
That's good. No problem. Just take the medications as prescribed and follow the instructions I have set. Were you able to talk to your professors?
AmartyaL
Yup. Dean told me he'll send out emails to my professors. I was able to talk to some of them personally though. They said it's alright, just need to catch up once I come back :-)
Dr Javate:
Alright. I'll see you in two weeks. No work for this break, okay? Allow the medicine to do its magic especially that you're starting all over again.
How about your thesis adviser pala?
Amartya:
I'm still waiting for his instructions. He's abroad for a conference eh. So for the meantime, I'll try to work on what I can to lessen the anxiety.
Dr Javate:
😅 Hey. No acad work remember? You need to let go of the things that cause you stress. I'm pretty sure your thesis adviser knows it already.
This is a break, Marty, not an opportunity for you to make up for lost academic time. We'll find ways to work around that.
Amartya:
Haha okay... I'll try.
Kaso kasi my thesis defense is a month from now, but I'm still stuck in the literature review and framework. I really need to work at least a lil bit
Dr Javate:
And you know that will be stuck for the rest of the sem if you don't rest. I told you a longer LOA is an option, but you don't want that, right?
Amartya:
Of course. I want to graduate this s/y. I'll take note of what you had said, doc.
Dr Javate:
Haha good. Let me know if there are complications with the new medicine. You're in constant touch with your psychologist, right?
Amartya:
Yup!!!! Miss Z from the Guidance Office. I'll also update her every now and then :-)
Dr Javate:
Alright.
By the way, where will you be then? Will you stay in your condo or your home?
Amartya:
I think I'll stay in my mother's hometown. Nueva Castallon.
Dr Javate:
That's good. Less pollution.
You have people around you naman? Someone who could check on your medications every now and then?
Amartya:
Yes. I'll be staying with my uncle. My sister's also working there every now and then so I wouldn't be alone.
Dr Javate:
Good. Good for you, Marty.
Make the most out of this break, okay? We'll discuss your new dosage when you get back.
Amartya:
Okay, doc! Thanks for all the help!
