AGU: (reprimanding tone) Amartya...
(Silence.)
AGU: (sighs) Pa-overcut ka na raw sa Philo sabi ng prof mo....
(Silence.)
AGU: Magse-schedule na ng orals sa Lunes. Pumasok ka na raw.
(Silence.)
AGU: (softly) Marty..
AMARTYA: (hoarse) (low voice) Hindi ba pwedeng i-schedule mo na lang ako? Alam naman ni Doc na friends tayo.
AGU: Baka gusto mo akong mawalan ng trabaho? (chuckles) Gusto mo tayo naman machismis ngayon?
(Silence.)
AMARTYA: I-schedule mo na lang ako, please? (heavy breathing) Unless na gusto mo na mamatay ako diyan sa Favre?
AGU: (swallows) Fine. I'll see what I can do.
(Long silence.)
AGU: Amartya..
AMARTYA: (annoyed) Ano?
AGU: (softly) Hindi naman pwedeng ganyan, Marts. The world is still moving... hindi ka puwedeng stuck diyan. (short pause) Sa tingin mo ba ganito ang gustong mangyari ni Father sa 'yo?
AMARTYA: (broken voice) What do I do, then?
(Sounds of sniffling can be heard on Amartya's end)
AMARTYA: (hoarse) (sniffling) What do I do? (soft crying)
AGU: Marty—
AMARTYA: (sniffling) Anong gagawin ko? It's almost a week since the assault happened and I can't find Ia... (heavy breathing) Papa's telling me she has work in Marawi but I don't buy that shit.... Daigo's telling me that I can't tell anyone what I know... but he doesn't want to tell me what the hell is happening—
(Silence.)
AMARTYA: (swallows) And Emilio's still in a coma... and Father Deo's gone...
(Hard crying on Amartya's end)
AGU: (softly) Marty.... uy...
AMARTYA: (broken voice) Wala na si Father Deo... wala na talaga..
(Amartya continues to wail.)
AMARTYA: (sniffling) Anong gagawin ko? Anong gagawin ko, Agu? (short pause) I'm not convinced that it's an act of robbery... (swallows) I'm sure my sister did it... I'm sure.
