I looked at the blue dress I was wearing that was hugging my every curve. My hair was wavy and I actually took the time to do my makeup. I don't know who chose this dress, but it fits me perfectly. I smiled at my reflection before leaving the bathroom. I'm so ready for the Christmas party. When I left the bathroom, I saw Cassius wearing a black suit with a navy tie; the same color as my dress. He looked damn fine in a suit and his hair was styled in a way that only added to his sexiness. He glanced over at me and his eyes lit up. I haven't told him anything about that night; as far as he knows, I was asleep.

I smiled at him as we walked over to his car. He held the door open for me as I got into his car.
"You look really good you know." I blushed at his compliment. He was the one who looked good.
"Thank you. I'm a little nervous to be around your family." He laughed at that.
"My family is just like every other family. We argue, we fight, but we still love each other." Yeah, his family is just like mine except his family has a billion more dollars than mine.

I nervously chewed my lip as he turned down a road that had magnificent houses. I looked at all the cars that were lined up and down the road. There are so many people. Cassius helped me out of the car and put his arm out so I could steady myself as I walked. These heels are ridiculous.
"You're like a baby bird," he chuckled which made me stick my tongue out at him. We walked across cobblestone and passed a fountain to go into a big mansion that appeared to be made entirely out of glass.

"That's my grandpa right there." He pointed to a bald man with an oxygen tank that was bound to a wheelchair. He looked as happy as could be.
"He's the best. All he ever does is help people and that's what I want to do. He fought in Vietnam and that in itself is respectable. I admire him so much." He smiled and that happy glow was in his eyes. It was apparent he admires his grandpa. I looked over at Mr. Greyson Reeves who had a blond lady with a behind that seemed to stretch on for miles. Her face was interesting what with the massive amounts of glitter and sparkles. She looks old but young at the same time, and her eyebrows were a thin line drawn on her forehead.

"Is that your mom?" He quirked a brow when he followed my line of sight.
"That is not my mom. That's Jessica, my dads plaything." I lifted my brows in surprise. He really is blunt about his feelings toward others. I can only wonder what he says about me. I noted the other people with so many luxury brands on. I looked down at my dress and began to felt a little bit inferior. I'm sure they can all see through me and see how poor I am. I looked around for Cassius, and saw him kneeling beside his grandfather. He was grinning up at him and his grandfathers face mirrored his own.

Cassius got his dimples from his grandfather'a side of the family. Although he was bound by a wheelchair, he had so much personality. I could hear him from my place over by the door. Cassius was completely enthralled by what his grandfather was saying which made me smile a little bit. He's really not that bad of a person. I've really been thinking of him as a douche but the way he treats people is admirable. Every time I cry, he's there to help me, and he doesn't tease me as much anymore. He's a great person to talk to and an even better shoulder to cry on. Although this union was birthed from a horrible situation, I'm kinda glad it happened.

"Hi there," I looked up at the tall blonde in front of me. He had full lips and bright green eyes that could easily seduce someone. His face was well structured with high cheekbones and thick eyebrows. He had the air of someone who knew they were attractive and that was kind of a turn off, but his disarming smile drew a person back in. He was wearing his tie loosely around his neck in an attempt to be cool. I looked up at his face.
