I smiled at Cassius from across the living room. We were at Drew's party, but I was looking to him. Five months. Five months; that's how long we've been together. Every second has been absolutely breathtaking. I love him, but I'm scared to say it to him. What if he doesn't say it back? Plus, what do those words mean when I see it in every action he does? People can say they love you when in reality they love and idealized version of you. I've also come to find out that the people who say they love you the most are usually the ones who will not hesitate to hurt you. There's also those people who have circumstantial love; times when loving or knowing you ups them in status and you're just left behind broken and hurt.

At my parents funeral, my ex boyfriend bragged to everyone how he knew my family and how we'd been dating for awhile just to get himself sympathy, and the time when I needed him, when I needed a friend the most, he was busy trying to get in my pants. My parents had been buried no more than a few hours, but that didn't matter to him. And he "loved" me. Now that I think about it, he was a pathetic sorry excuse of a person, and I feel bad for the next girl he snatches in his claws. I don't even know why I dated him. Maybe it was because I was bored of being lonely and being with somebody was better than being alone all the time. The only good thing about that relationship was it's end because I saw his true colors.

Being with Cassius shows me what a real relationship is like; what it's like two have both people fully and completely invested. He's so sweet to me even when I'm crazy(so all the time) and accepts me for who I am. I leaned back against the counter and took a sip of my beer. It was dark and loud in Drew's house which is completely out of my element. I had on a leather mini skirt and a red crop top on. It's summer so we're living it up! Tomorrow we're going to breakfast at his dads house then going to his grandpa's house THEN we're going camping. I have not one thing packed which kinda stresses me out, but I also know that Cassius will help me pack them if I ask him. Such a sweetheart.

I walked across the room to him and hugged him from behind. He's so tall and warm. He put his arm around me and kissed my cheek.
"This is my girlfriend, Amelia." I waved at some of the guys in front of me. They all looked super casual with jeans on and beers in their hands.
"Nice to meet you." I looked up at Cassius and smiled before hugging him again before walking away. I walked outside to breathe in some fresh air. I'm glad to be out having some fun. I sighed then smiled at the sky. It's funny how life happens. If my parents hadn't died, I wouldn't have met Cassius. The worst part of my life brought me to a place that has the most happiness.

My phone began to ring making me dig in my pocket. I looked at Whitney's name light up my phone.
"Hello?" I started walking around in a circle.
"Hey. Hey, can you come over really quick?" Her voice was serious with no trace of humor.
"Yes. Are you okay? You're not dying right?" She laughed.
"No, I'm not dying. Just hurry please."
"Okay, see you soon." I hung up then went inside to find Cassius. He was telling a story and being as loud as his grandpa. It was endearing to watch him. I walked over to him and touched him lightly on the arm. He nearly elbowed me turning around.
"Can I borrow your car?" He took his keys out of his pocket and handed them to me.
"I'll probably spend the night here or catch a ride home." I gotta make sure I go home. Ugh. I'm so freaking clingy that I need to either sleep with him or sleep in his bed.

"Okay. Just call me and let me know?" He nodded before pecking me lightly on the lips.
"Bye. I'll see you soon. Bye guys, it was good to meet you." I walked away from him. I tried to say goodbye to Drew, but he was wasted. I patted his head before going out of the door. I got in the car and drove over to Whitney's house. I climbed up two flights of stairs to her apartment building before knocking on the green door. She lives in such a chic place. When she didn't answer, I took the spare key from the flower pot and unlocking the door. Whitney came over to me and hugged me when I opened the door. She was wearing sweats and a white tee shirt. She had no makeup on and her hair was in a messy bun, but she looked absolutely stunning. I swear she could be a model, but it's time to stop admiring her beauty and make sure she's okay.
