I nervously watched as we turned down the road to my Aunty Ellis' house. My aunt's house wasn't the biggest, but it was bigger than the one I grew up. However, it was nothing compared to the home Cassius and I live in. I glanced over at him but he was busy watching the road. He parked on the side of the road. I smiled at Aunty Ellis' yellow house with the wraparound porch. Her little puppies were outside playing in the grads; a corgi and a tiny Husky. He turned off the car then nervously drummed his fingers on the steering wheel.

"What's the matter?" He looked over at me from his curled up position.
"I'm about to meet your aunt which is the closest to meeting your parents as I'll ever get, and I didn't bring flowers or wine or anything." He's so precious.
"Everything is going to be fine." He sighed then shook his head.
"I want to make a lasting impression on her." I leaned over and patted his back.
"Everything's okay. Aunty Ellis is going to like you; you're nothing like my ex and you're so sweet." He was quiet for a second before smiling.

"We can do this." I nodded in agreement.
"Thank you my precious little parasite." I rolled my eyes. I'm glad that he's back to himself. He came around and opened my door. We held hands as we walked to the front steps. Aunty Ellis opened the door wearing a blue sundress and a flower crown. The wedding takes place in the botanical garden and I'm so excited. She smiled at me before hugging me tightly.
"I'm so happy to see you Amelia." Tears sprang into my eyes from happiness.
"You too Aunty Ellis." She let go of me before handing me a flower crown.
"Your dress is going to fit you perfectly!" I smiled at the idea. I sent her all my measurements and she got my dress. We looked at each other a minute longer. She has my moms brown hair and sea green eyes. My freckles are from my moms side and seeing her is like looking at my mother.

Cassius held my hand tighter before put his arm around me. I cleaned my throat away from stupid tears that I don't feel shedding.
"I'm Cassius." He held out his hand and shook Aunty Ellis'. She smiled at me before turning her gaze to Cassius.
"You're a handsome boy. You look so much like your father." I looked up at his red cheeks.
"Thank you. And thank you for allowing me to come to your wedding." He smiled at her.
"I'm glad you both could make it. Now come on and step inside." She opened the door wider and we walked inside.

"Sorry about the mess." There was a million and one things strewn everywhere from clothes to papers to wedding favors. I looked at some of the bridesmaids and waved. I'm the maid of honor much to some of their disdain.
"Hey there pretty boy," Richard clapped Cassius' back. The sound of him coughing made me glare at Richard. Richard is one of the most brutal looking people. He's big for no reason and loves to work out. Cassius gave me a thumbs up as he keeled over and wheezed. That strong son of a bitch.

"Hi there Amelia. It's good to see you." He pulled me into his bone crushing arms. I wheezed before tapping out. I don't know how Aunty Ellis can have sex with that mountain of a man without constantly being put in a full body cast.
"So where are you two staying?"
"Just a few miles up the street at Marriott. Why?"
"I'll make sure I drop him off there when I'm done with him." I raised my brows in surprise.
        "Where are you taking him?"
"I'll be fine Amelia." Richard laughed.
"Ho ho! Looks like pretty boy has some balls. I approve of him completely! I'll see you later." He kissed Aunty Ellis on the cheek before leaving.

"I think my husband'd taken a liking to your boyfriend." I smiled as I idly messed with some flowers.
"I like him a lot. I really do." I smiled then looked over at her. He makes my heart sing with happiness. These past two months that we've been dating has been the happiest I've been since my parents died. No matter how long or hard my day had been, him hugging me makes everything better. Is it crazy to miss someone who's only been away for a few minutes?
"I'm glad you've found someone that makes you happy." I took a seat down on the couch.
