I put on my costume for our dress rehearsal. Good god my boobies can barely breathe and I most definitely need to invest in some more thongs because these cotton panties ain't cutting it. Whitney walked in and led me to a chair.
"Spill. I want every last detail that you have. I want the dirty secrets. Give it all." I couldn't help but smile.
"He took me to a Ferris wheel, one that his mom used to take him to, and he leaned over and kissed me."
"And," she pressed. I shrugged then grinned.
"He asked me out. Cassius mother freaking Reeves asked me out!" She clapped."So you're not single anymore?" I shook my head and we squealed together.
"Yeah but we really haven't talked to or seen each other since. We were both asleep then I've been in rehearsals all week and he's been busy unpacking and stuff." I sighed. Life was so much easier when we weren't dating. I mean not in the I'm not happy way but in the I miss him because plans were so much easier way. I want him. I want like a hug or something. God, I feel like those clingy girlfriends."It's okay to miss your boyfriend. You guys were friends before you were dating and that bond never goes away." Our eyes met in the mirror.
"Thank you. So, how are you and Felix doing?" She smiled at me and let out a blissful sigh.
"Perfect. He's so sweet. The other day, I was feeling so stressed out, so he turned on some relaxing music, drew me a bath, gave me a nice massage that led to some...other things," she smirked, "and yeah. He's a sweet guy." I'm glad that she's happy. My friends being happy makes me happy. Whitney put the wig on my head and I gasped. I look nothing like myself but everything like myself."My work here is done." She left the dressing room. I rested my head on the desk until I heard the door open.
"Amelia?" I popped my head up at the sound of Cassius' voice. Just seeing him made me feel happy. I smiled at him then stood up and went over to him.
"You look so different with blonde hair." He wrapped his arms around me and held me.
"Does it do it for you," I used my Marilyn voice that he hates so much. He placed a kiss against my brow.
"You in this wig plus that voice is the opposite of doing it for me. Your dark hair and beautiful freckles and bright brown eyes does it for me every time." I blushed then looked up at him."It's good to see you." He smiled at me.
"I missed you too. Do you want to watch some movies tonight? I have some volunteer work to do tomorrow."
"Of course I want to watch movies. What are you doing? Maybe I can help too." Any second I can spend with him.
"We're going to go makes some sandwiches and feed the homeless. Do you want to come?"
"Of course. There's no rehearsal tomorrow." He smiled at me.
"You're so sweet. Thank you." He glanced at his watch. I knew what he was going to say."I'll see you later. I promise we can watch whatever, even those stupid romance movies." My heart hurt to have him leave me but I plastered a smile on my face.
"Okay." He leaned down as I stood on my tippy toes. Everything in the world was right when we kissed. I was breathless when he pulled away.
"I'll see you soon baby girl." My heart exploded into ten million pieces. The cutest freaking nickname. We embraced one more time before he left. I sighed as I rested my head against the door with a huge grin I couldn't wipe away.***
I stepped out of the shower and pulled some shorts and one of Cassius' shirts on. I don't understand why he has a "Grill Daddy" shirt, but it's so cozy. My stomach did several flips when I saw him. He's so handsome and totally mine. He looked up from his phone when he saw me approaching him.
"Hey." He opened the door for me.
"Hi." I got in the car. The smell of food made me ravenous. Cassius got in then handed me a bag of food and a cup of lemonade. I opened the bag and immediately devoured the spicy chicken sandwich. I am literally starving.
