I woke up with a terrible hangover and blue balls that could make a psychopath cry. My body ached, and I forced myself to get out of bed. I was fully dressed, which meant I hadn't gotten into that much trouble the night before.
"Fun night?" Isaac asked, winking at me.
"I don't remember much from after when you left." I clutched my head at my pounding headache.
"Do you at least have the number from the girl you were with?"
I checked my phone and saw that it was dead. I waved it in front of Isaac, showing him that I had no idea.
"She was cute. Seemed a little wild though," Isaac said.
"Her name is Gia I think," I replied.
"I like her. Charge your phone and ask her out," Isaac demanded.
"I will now be quiet," I groaned.
"Oh you poor boy, do you have a hangover?" Isaac said in his baby voice.
"You're lucky you heal so damn fast," I huffed.
"Seems rough. So glad I've never had one," Isaac laughed.
"I need something gross and some water," I instructed Isaac, who actually listened and started cooking.
I hooked my phone up to a charger and then dropped my head on to the counter and tried to block the light from reaching my eyes. My phone vibrated, and I lifted my head very gingerly to check it.
"It's Gia, I did get her number," I let Isaac know.
Isaac cheered and started making crude comments. I ignored him and dropped my head back on the counter.
"Never take me to another party on a Wednesday," I mumbled.
"You asked for it. Get up and eat your eggs," Isaac pounded on the counter, making me want to murder him.
I accepted the food and shoved the eggs down my throat, struggling to keep them down. I wasn't even going to change my clothes, I was going to go to school like this. Hopefully, I didn't run into anyone from the party. I probably would, knowing my luck.
Isaac said he heard the bus nearby and hurried me out the door. I forgot my bookbag, but I wasn't going to go back for it. I fell asleep on the bus and woke up feeling marginally better. Of course, walking into the building I ran into Gia.
"I had no idea you went here," I admitted.
"I'm guessing you had a rough night?" Gia smiled.
"I'm a terrible lightweight," I laughed.
"I'm surprised you remember me then," She joked.
"I don't remember much, but how could I forget you?" I replied.
She blushed and looked at the floor, hiding a smile.
"Let me walk you to class," I offered.
She nodded and started walking with me. She had a great sense of humor and I felt myself laughing at almost everything she said. She stopped in front of a door and informed me it was her room.
"I'll see you later, yeah?" I asked.
"How about 6?" Gia asked.
"It's a date."
She got on her tiptoes and placed a kiss to my lips. It was quick but cute. I smiled and walked myself to class. Isaac was there before me, smiling like he was listening in.
"You're cheesy," He laughed.
"I am smooth," I retorted, "Smooth as jazz."
"You're gross."
