"You would get the opportunity to yell at him," I offered.
"Sounds great," Gia said, taking my hand and leading me to the car.
We arrived at the house and went inside, finding Isaac playing video games with headphones on. He wouldn't hear us coming, so I decided to scare him. I put my finger to my mouth to silence Gia and grabbed Isaac from behind, pulling him over the couch.
He tossed his headphones off and jumped up, nearly taking me with him, "You didn't call her friend back you ass."
"Dylan I could've killed you."
"I think you forget who you're talking to," I joked.
"Boys, stop being dumb and sit down." Gia crossed her arms over her chest.
I did a salute and jumped over the back of the couch to sit on it as instructed. Isaac moved slower but listened. Gia walked in front of us and pointed her finger at Isaac to yell at him like promised.
"Brittany is a great girl and you will call her back," Gia demanded.
"Says who?" Isaac said, challenging Gia.
"I will serve your testicles as a main course," Gia threatened.
"Dylan," Isaac looked at me, "Is your girl threatening me?"
I shrugged at him and he continued, "Because that doesn't sound like a threat."
"Just don't be that dick. She deserves better man," Gia sighed.
"I'm sure she does." Isaac looked far away.
I grabbed Gia's arm and pulled her onto my lap. Isaac got off the couch and gave me a dirty look. He didn't appreciate being called out for not calling girls back. I'd bothered him plenty about it, and he never seemed to listen. He never really kept in touch with anyone outside this family.
He came back a few minutes later, finding Gia sucking on my neck. He didn't care, but who he brought with him did.
"You're with someone else?" Maria snapped.
"Who is this?" Gia asked.
"My ex who shouldn't be here," I said, hoping she would get the hint.
Isaac stepped in front of her and tried to usher her out.
"I came here to talk to you because that's what needs to happen, so get that bitch off your lap and let's fucking go," She yelled.
"Don't talk about her like that," I warned.
Isaac suddenly tensed and took a step back, looking back at me with worry in his eyes. I placed Gia on the couch and got off, moving next to Isaac. Maria's eyes were red, and peering up at me.
"I'll be back in a minute Gia," I said over my shoulder, grabbing Maria and leading her to my room.
"Who the fuck is she?" Maria growled.
"Your eyes," I whispered.
Maria looked in my mirror, the red disappearing as she did. She turned back to me, still angry despite not being in a shift. Her face was contorted, and I wasn't sure why.
"What does it matter who she is?" I asked.
"I refuse to be used and fucking thrown away, that's why it matters," Maria growled.
"Thrown away?" I asked, feeling myself get angry.
"I was trying to talk to you about the eyes because they came back again today, but I guess you don't care about anything we talked about," She spat.
