Maria
"I didn't," I weakly replied.
"It was an accident," Isaac spoke from behind me.
"Accident?" Dylan snapped.
His voice sounded like a wolf, and I had never seen him angry enough to use it. This part of his shift was new to him as well, which meant we were on some thin fucking ice. I bit my lip and said a quick prayer before closing in on Dylan.
I forced my hands against Dylan's face to make him look at me. He reached to pull my hands off, holding them in front of me. I felt my fingers going numb from the lack of blood flow and tried to shake his hands off me.
"Please let go," I begged.
It was like he couldn't hear me. I felt pathetic as I started crying trying to break his hold. I hated myself for breaking down this way. My vision was too blurry to see Dylan's face clearly, but I knew it was enraged and I didn't want to see him this way anyway.
"You're fucking hurting her dude," Isaac spoke up.
Dylan looked down at my wrists which now held bruises in place of his hands, no emotion coming to his face. When he released me, I collapsed, his strength being the only thing holding me up. I saw black dots clouding my sight, and I held my head in my hands to slow them down.
Isaac looked down at me, and that was a giant mistake on his part. For one, it only further angered Dylan, and two, it gave Dylan the opportunity to attack while Isaac was distracted. Isaac was big, but Dylan was intelligent. I'd have to place my bets on the strongest human I'd ever met.
"Dylan!" I called out weakly.
He ignored me, throwing punches at Isaac. Isaac blocked his face with his hands, but it was easy to see he was still getting bruised. I could hear the cracks of fracturing bone. Because the bone wasn't being broken, I had to assume Dylan didn't actually want to hurt Isaac.
"I'm bleeding," I whispered, touching my wrists. I hadn't noticed that Dylan's claws had pierced the skin because he cut off all feeling with his grasp.
"You good?" Isaac called out.
"I think I'm dying," I replied, seeing the dark circles clouding a larger part of my vision.
"Dylan, stop hitting me for two damn seconds!" Isaac shout, "I need to rush your girl to the hospital before she bleeds out."
"She's not mine."
"Now isn't the fucking time for labels. You're not a murderer, but if you don't let me save her you will be."
This managed to snap some sense into Dylan, as he threw one final punch and stopped his assault. The room started spinning around them, and I tried to hold onto the floor to keep it in place. However, flexing my fingers hurt and I decided they could handle the spinning.
I was awfully tired from all the shouting, and a nap sounded like a great idea. My eyes fell like a curtain, ending the show. Soon enough, the show was beginning again with a metal taste bringing my eyes back open.
"What the fuck?"
"Hospital. They think it was an attempted suicide. You're alive," Isaac said.
"That's great. Where's Dylan?"
"Home."
"He's not here?" I felt my stomach sink into my toes.
Isaac shook his head no, "I really fucked up."
"You're lucky I can't strangle you."
Every word falling out of my mouth was lazy. They had too many pain killers in my system, and I had to force my brain into motion. I let myself rest, being woken up in what felt like the blink of an eye. I was too groggy to handle interaction, so I ignored the doctors prodding at me.
