Maria
I had so many cuts on my body that I was sure I didn't have a square inch that wouldn't scar. I was comfortable with the small amount of scars that had littered my body before, but I was definitely going to have self-image problems after getting out of here.
Tiana was relentless, and I admired her commitment to making my life a living hell. It wasn't working in her favor because with each cut I became more numb, and I couldn't be bothered to notice more cuts being etched into my skin.
"Tell me about this cure." Tiana shoved a knife into my knee, hitting the bone.
"It works wonders, you should take some to cure the nasty look on your face," I laughed.
"How does it work?" She asked.
"You take it, and, ready for the big secret," I paused for dramatic effect, "It cures you."
"Does it cure anything?" Tiana asked.
"It won't fix your inability to get in Dylan's pants if that's what you're asking."
"My parents told me I had to flirt with him to try to get closer to you. I thought it was a dumb idea because I should've just gotten closer to you instead. I don't even find him attractive," Tiana scrunched her face up in disgust.
"Oh come on, he's cute." I pout.
"I'm a lesbian," Tiana said.
"That doesn't mean he isn't cute," I retorted.
"Not to me." Tiana shrugged.
"That explains why watching you flirt with him was so uncomfortable," I considered.
"I don't fucking know what men like." Tiana made a disgusted face.
"Me neither. They're too confusing." I copied her face unintentionally, "I'm offended you didn't just flirt with me instead."
"My parents are too religious to allow me to flirt with you, so don't take it personally," Tiana said nonchalantly, but the pain was evident in her eyes.
"They aren't here now." I winked at her.
She snort, "You aren't my type."
"Too bloody?" I asked.
"Wolf," Tiana corrected me.
"Human," I declared.
"You've said that for this entire week, and I've got to say, I like your determination." Tiana crosses her arms over her chest.
"You've noticed I'm not healing, right?" I asked.
"Like I said-" Tiana start.
"Special knife, I get it. Water?" I asked.
"No."
I brushed it off. I hadn't had anything to eat this week, and I was starving, but I was more worried I would dehydrate first. They gave me water, but very limited amounts. With all the blood I was losing, there was no way I had enough water in my system to survive.
"Hey, what do you do with my body if I die in here?" I asked.
"We burn you, why?" Tiana asked.
"I'm just curious."
"Do you want to die?" She asked.
"I want some water," I said.
I had been in the same position for so long that I had no feeling in my muscles and they were probably starting to lose mass. My wrists ached from being tied behind my back and being jostled around each time I was punched.
