"We can't keep meeting this way," Maria laughed bitterly.
Tiana decided to shove her into the lockers for the second time this week, hitting the bruises caused the first time. Maria didn't look like she was in her usual tolerant mood as she was sporting a dead look in her eyes where her humor defense usually resided. It didn't help that there was extra bruising from last night.
"Just when I think you've gotten away from the wolves," Tiana point at Maria's neck, "You show up with that."
Maria stared blankly at Tiana, offering nothing up to her attacker. Tiana's hands seemed to twitch with her frustration. She was itching to keep Maria away from me, and there was no way I'd allow that. If I could get past Henry Hemming, I could probably handle a teenage hunter.
"Monster." Tiana sneered at me.
"Bitch." I returned her very pleasant greeting with a smile.
"If she turns, which I doubt is possible, I'm coming for you."
"I know I'm hotter as a wolf, but all these women offering to cum for me is insane," I laughed, looking over to Maria to see if she found me funny too.
"Dickhead." Tiana gave us the middle finger, storming off like her feet were magnetically attracted to the ground.
Maria brushed her clothes off and sighed deeply. I took her hand in mine, feeling like there wasn't much else I could've done to comfort her. There was no solution to animosity.
"I'm sorry this keeps happening. You know I can't smell her coming," I sighed.
Maria only shook her head. Knowing she felt terrible, I stepped up to the fantastic boyfriend role and decided to take action. Her hands fit in mine so well I can't imagine a reason where I would ever let them go. Maria looked down at our hands like she had gone mad.
"What-" I was interrupted.
Maria moved her hands out of mine, touching my skin and moving to touch my chest and hair as well. It wasn't some loving touch, but more like she had gone blind and was trying to feel where I was. I let her assault my body for a few more moments before I put a stop to it, holding her invasive hands.
"I can't," Maria's voice cracked, "I can't feel you."
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"I'm touching you, but I don't feel anything. I can't feel," Her voice caught in her throat.
I put my hands on her cheeks, "Can you feel this?"
"Yeah." Maria nodded so fast she made me dizzy.
I slowly moved my hands down her arms until she stopped me just above her wrists, "I feel numb there, like I have pins and needles, and after that I don't feel anything."
I rubbed her hands, thinking her circulation might have been poor. A tear slipped from her eye and she swiped it away as if she was ashamed of its existence. I started testing other areas to see if they also had feeling, and it seemed like her hands were the only part affected.
"Wait!" Maria nearly screamed, "I feel them now."
"It's probably just bad blood flow. You'll be just fine," I said.
