Chapter 7
Darius' POV
"Darius, have you made your decision on the job offer?" The principal, Mr. Waters asks.
"I haven't, regarding a small question that if were answered in a 'no' I wouldn't be able to take the job."
"Okay, what's your question?" He asks.
"I have a girlfriend, and she's younger than me by a couple years and I just wanted to know what would happen because she will be my student this year."
He looks perplexed, like he doesn't know what to do. "Well, I don't know, I've never been asked because the normal rule would be to not allow dating between students and teachers,"
"I understand if not, but I'll have to refuse the job offer,"
"Is this a serious relationship?" I nod. "Well, you are my best applicant, and as long as you and this student don't make it known to anyone else, I can give you the job."
"Really? Wow, thank you, Mr. Waters."
"Of course," he says. "We'll see you Monday. Please sign this form, real fast."
"Um, the form says something about student-teacher interaction..."
He takes a pen and draws a line through it. "This doesn't apply to you,"
I nod, give a quick smile and wave goodbye.
"Oh and Darius," he says.
"Yes,"
"May I ask who it is?"
"Yes, it's Maggie. Maggie Odair."
He laughs a little, "Her Dad, Finnick, is okay with that?"
I laugh a little, "Yeah, I think so. I mean, he practically set us up."
"Wow, okay, well I wish you two the best."
"Thank you, see you Monday."
I walk out the door, and see Maggie waiting.
"So?" She says.
"Mr. Waters doesn't mind us together, as long as it's not known at school." I tell her.
"Not bad," she says. "it might be hard but its doable."
"Okay, it's settled then." I smile.
"Want me to see if you could, um, move in?"
Heck yes!
"Okay,"
"Okay, cool," she says.
"Yup,"
"So, where do you wanna go?" She asks.
"Home?"
"Okay,"
"Maggie, if teaching gets in the way of our relationship, I will quit. Because our relationship is more important to me."
"Really?"
"Of course," I kiss her head. "Because I love you."
"I love you too Dare. Well, I guess Mr. Mellark."
I laugh, "If you whisper it you can call me by my first name, as long as it's not in front of the class."
"How about I just don't talk in class to you?"
"You should still particapate though Maggie."
"Yeah, yeah."

Maggie's POV
First Day of School
"Good luck," Mom says. Darius stands nearby, she whispers; "With the whole 'dating my teacher' situation."
I laugh a little, "It's all good, see you when I walk home."
"Have fun Maggie," Dad says.
"I will, bye love you guys!"
"Bye," They both say.
"Can we walk together?" I ask Darius.
"I don't see the problem with that." He smiles his million dollar smile.
"Yup, because every normal student and teacher walk to school together, live together, and are in a relationship." I smirk a little.
"Oh come on, you love having me in Four." he says.
"Okay, yes, I do." I laugh.
"You have no idea how badly I wanna hold your hand." he says.
"Then do it."
"You know I can't,"
"Come on, we're not there yet."
He smiles, and laces his fingers with mine.
